So this week was such a good week and a strong reading one as well. We got pleased to get three days of snow and it was amazing! I loved getting all the snow. And yes I work from home so its easy for me to say that, but I just love the snow and we got such a winter wonderland! I love how the snow lights up the night and yes this is a night picture. As far as my reading, I was able to get back to my reading in full and it was so nice. I do have lots of books to read, but I am on track to having 16 books read so far this month. Isn’t that so great? I have a long way to go but I am hopeful I can get to 56 this month. My plan this month is to read books I know I will easily be able to get into and maybe mix in some holiday novella’s. Also happy news is that today I get the NEW Kindle Scribe to be delivered! I am planning on doing a review of it after using it for a week. I also have updated the spreadsheet I created for 2023! Post for it coming out this week!
Bookish Posts and Books Read of Week of December 4th through December 10th
This was such a great reading week, especially after the lack of reading the past two weeks in November. It felt so nice to get back to reading more fully and I was able ti pick up so many good ones here! I absolutely adored most of the books I read. I did have a disappointing read, but also picked up a fun Holiday novella and finished off a couple of series.
(All my books read and their reviews are on Goodreads, I have linked for you)
ARC Book Read-Recovery Road by Christine Feehan—4.5 Stars—I absolutely adored this one, and is probably one of my favorites of the series. It was so well done, with a marriage of convenience and the FMC in trouble. I just couldn’t put it down. So fun!
ARC Book Read-You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti—4 Stars–If you are looking for a good romantic thriller, you definitely need to pick up these books here. I just adored seeing more character depth, and getting a bit more build-up to the romance.
Book Listened-Resting Scrooge Face by Meghan Quinn–4 Stars—I absolutely had a blast with this charming Christmas novella. This is perfect especially if you love books that have a Hallmark feel to the romance and the setting.
Book Listened-Fire In His Spirit by Ruby Dixon—4 Stars—Such a sweet romance, I absolutely adored this book and really enjoyed the serial plot twists that we got with this one. Definitely intrigued to see where the author take this in future books.
Book Read-Dating the Duke by Emma Hart—-4.5 Stars—I just loved this book so much and the ending was so satisfying! I adored the set up of the romance, and the sweet family feels. The romance was so endearing and I couldn’t put it down.
Book Read-Smoke and Steel by Kristen Ashley—3.5 Stars—I wanted to love this one, I had such high hopes for this one, but it was disappointing. This was way lighter of a read than I thought it would be. Definitely NOT a dark MC romance like the cover conveys. The hero was a beta cinnamon roll and not an alpha male like I expected. And way too much focus on other clubs and not the Redemption MC. And a bit of the author pushing agenda political stuff and doesn’t have the classic KA vibe to the writing.
Book Read-Bad Lands by Stacey Marie Brown—4.5 Stars—Such a fun installment, lots of intense plot building and great suspense that is implemented. Enjoyed seeing the journey with a new chapter.
Blood Lands by Stacey Marie Brown—4 Stars—This was a good installment, but not as enjoyable as the others. It was a bit similar to what we saw in the first book being back in the prison so I wasn’t a fan of that to be honest.
Book Read-Shadow Lands by Stacey Marie Brown—4.5 Blossoms—Such a fabulous finale to this series and I can’t wait to see what the author has up next. If you love UF romance, you definitely need to pick these books up!
Book Read-Raven Unveiled by Grace Draven—4 Stars—This was a solid addition to the “Fallen Empire” series. I really enjoyed this, it was such an interesting enemies to lovers romance. Has lots of gothic magic implemented, and curious to see what she delivers more or if she does.

Current Reads
My Current Audiobook is “Safe At Last” by Maya Banks. I really have been enjoying this series and I like that it has a bit of magical realism to it. Then I gotta pick up Falling Embers, I have books 2 and 3 borrowed from the library, so need to get going on this series by Cowles. Then I have been wanting to explore more of Anna Hackett’s work so I am eager for this one here. Its been a while since I have picked up a Rina Kent so I am eager to explore more of this Royal Elite series. I have had Opulent Obsession on my TBR for KU so would like to move on with this series.
Book Releases I am Excited For
Only Mine by Laura Pavlov
Don’t Make Me by Renee Rose
Filthy Truth by Serena Akeroyd
Until Willow by Aurora Rose Reynolds
My Weekly TBR
These are books that I have a rough TBR for, I normally don’t like a super strict TBR as I tend to be a mood reader, so I might get to these books but depending on my mood, I might not get to all of them, I have a good mix of library reads, purchased books and kindle unlimited. I have a couple of historicals, some Christmas contemporaries, a mafia and some romantic suspense.
Favorite Book of the Week
New Additions to A&R
Answering Atlas by Chantal Fernando
Christmas at Holiday House by RaeAnne Thayne
All I Want For Christmas is a Cowboy by Jessica Clare
I agree that the snow can be lovely to look at, and right now, I am homebound, so I’d be ok with snow. LOL! I think there is some in the forecast for the NW part of NJ (not me), and I’m ok with that too. Enjoy your Scribe. I was shocked at how big it is. I need to continue that Hart series. It was a fun one
Wow, that is a lot of books read.
Have a great week.
I loved the Emma Hart, Samantha Young, and Meghan Quinn books you read. Wow, 56 books in a month?! I’m so impressed! I need to get through 11 more to reach my goal on Goodreads for the year. Normally if I have a bunch of review tours scheduled I read a book in 1-2 days, but with not scheduling as many this month, I’m reading a little slower. Hope you have a nice week!

Hello,
I like your blog and want to follow. I’m writing about books too. If you want too, we follow each other. π
Here my blog; https://morduslerkitapligi.blogspot.com/
Have a nice week π
We only get snow every few years. I don’t think this year will be one of those years. I do like it when we get a little snow though. it might rain this week, the high will be in the 40’s all week. Not cold enough for snow unfortunately.
I hope that you are enjoying your new Scribe! I had fun getting mine set up and loaded with books this past week. I am not ready for snow just yet. I wish that I could read as fast as you do. I might have a chance of catching up if I could…lol. I hope that you have a great week!
I love snow and when it looks like a winter wonderland! I am hoping that we get some snow for Christmas but I will have to wait and see. Have a great week!
I am very curious about the new kindle Scribe!! Also that picture with all the snow is so pretty! Have a great week Renee!
I’m so happy you loved listening to Quinn’s book! I did, too!
My folks live a bit north of you and they have been getting some really good powder too. Meanwhile, all our good snow in November has gone away and we’re dry so far for December. π
Pretty pic!
Great job getting your reading mojo back. I’ve got that frustrating reading mood of wanting to read, but not the stuff I’m supposed to be reading. π Yeah, that KA does look dark, weird that it was a warmer one. Good to know.
Enjoy your week, Renee!
My grandson Clayton has an order in with Santa for some snow. He wants to build a snowman. We’ve had flurries and a dusting so far.
