Elite One True Pairings of 2022

by | Dec 7, 2022 | End of Year Survey | 7 comments

Welcome to the first post of the Elite Romance series of 2022.  This post is where I am going to list my TOP reads of the year, which wasn’t easy to narrow down. I have had a decent reading year and I am thrilled to be able to share all the delicious reads that I have here. These reads will be taken from December 2021 to November 2022. I feel like this is the best way to feature those books so that the books in December don’t get overlooked. And once it hits January, my focus will be the new year which is why I like to do it in December when I tend to do more reflecting on the past year.

So for today’s topic, this is ONE TRUE PAIRINGS! This can be differently for different readers. To me, this is the epic type of love feeling. Super intense, most times longer term or it has a “riding off into the sunset” type of vibe of a HEA. These lists might be longer than what I have done in the past years, because I have 420 books to reflect on! So hope you enjoy the plentiful books I was able to share!

This book is set in Russia and was so well done. It had such a epic feel to it, but its mafia so that is to be expected. I loved the intensity and strong chemistry between the two.

Carmen and Ben had such a beautifully portrayed relationship, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the series is based on them and their romance. Loved the poignant emotion that was portrayed all the way through their story

Darby and Kellen had a epic love story that begins when they are children, where they begin as friends and turn into lovers as adults. The have such a strong intense bond to each other.

This story is INTENSE and dramatic but so fulfilling. This is also more of an epic love feeling, as we see years in their relationship.

This is a second chance romance, and we see them as mature characters in their relationship, working together as partners with a small glimpse of magic that builds on the story!

This book and the WHOLE series which is six books, features the same couple. Its also a UF world set in Budapest. There is strong intensity, lots of world building and details to their story.

This is a romance that we see build over centuries!!! Like they meet as younglings at a time before anything we know of haha Loved seeing them build and grow in their relationship!

This series is focused on three people, 2 men and one woman and they first meet as kids and come back as adult and build on reconnecting. Nothing speaks more epic than a Sierra Simone novel.

This is a four-book series, and from their first meeting, their relationship was magical and sensual. They have such a strong bond and great growth in their journey.

This is a story of where the hero and heroine save each other in different ways. The way that they fight for each other is beyond beautiful! Jay Crownover wrote a jewel here.

This whole series “Savage Destiny” is based off of one couple. I really love what Bittner has wrote here. I love seeing them build in their relationship over YEARS of time. Seeing them bond, fight for each other and protect their family against the injustices done to their people.

These books were so well done, super atmospheric, and the romance was angsty, and just so satisfying to read!

If there is a definitionion of One True Pairing, it would be Sea of Ruin. There is something so different about this one. It has a more authentic feel to its story and as a historical romance you just know that this one is tough at times, but really gives back so many rewards!

This is a duo series and I recommend reading both in order of each other. There is a strong intensity to this relationship, it’s dark though with assassins and artists, but so real and their relationship is almost magnetic.

So what do you think of my top favorite “One True Pairings” of 2022? Any that you loved as well? What were some of your favorites that you loved this year? Let me know in the comments below!

I love Jonah and Calla so much! I think that’s why the second book was so hard for me.

Jonah and Callie are a great couple. I also loved Crownover’s and the other Tucker series.

Rosanne Bittner writes about such great couples. I have 2 books in her Outlaw Hearts series this year (and hope to squeeze in a 4th) so Jake and Miranda might make my list.
