Elite New To Me Authors of 2022

by | Dec 12, 2022 | End of Year Survey, Uncategorized | 9 comments

Welcome to the next segment of the Elite Romance series of 2022.  This post is where I am going to list my TOP reads of the year, which wasn’t easy to narrow down. I have had a fabulous reading year and I am thrilled to be able to share all the delicious reads that I have here.

In this segment of this series, I am going to share all the great authors I was able to discover and I discovered so many good ones so it was difficult to narrow down this list. But these are my top picks of the year. Its always so fun to discover new authors and then you just know you have plenty of books to indulge in as they normally have a good strong backlist.

Beh Kerry is one of those authors I have heard reviewers and content creators discuss and I have been wanting to pick her up. I absolutely adore her books. These are so well done. She is a mix of erotic romance and contemporary. And she writes such classy feeling books as well.

Stacey Marie Brown I found on bookstagram. I saw quite a few people raving about this author and I just loved her writing style. Its super engaging, its more edgy and darker elements and she writes in more unique settings which I really loved. We need more books in Eastern Europe, which has such a rich culture.

Alexandria House is so popular and everyone tends to rave about those books. I adored this series, these were so well done and for the most part it was non political which more diverse books tend to be more agenda driven. So it was refreshing as it felt such more focused on a good romance.

Catherine Cowles has been all over the romance book community and she is worth the hype in my opinion. I absolutely adored this book. If you are fans of Jennifer Ryan, Donna Grant or Melissa Foster, than you will enjoy Catherine Cowles.

If you are a fan of gothic or darker romance, than RyNyx is an author for you. I read this one and ADORED how atmospheric it was. I just loved everything about this one and I can’t wait to explore her backlist in 2023.

Carly Spade I discovered this summer. If you love mythological fantasy, you need to read these books and they are in KU. I just loved these books so much and her writing style just seemed to work out so well for me. I can’t wait to explore her backlist and if you love unique holiday novella’s, she has some fun ones there as well.

Chanel Cleeton is such a well known author. Currently she is most famous for her historical fiction, however, its this series I have seen the most love for and its worth it! I adored the books I have read so far.

Meghan Quinn was an author I decided to take a chance on. I can be picky about rom coms, but her writing style is just perfect for me. She really balances out humor and heart. Many of her covers are non illustrated which is a plus.

Sara Cate just blew the community away with this series, and she also delivered some fun kinks that you don’t see too often. She especially got “Praise” kink to blow away. And yes its just as amazing as it sounds! And the covers are just gorgeous.

Emma Scott is an author that I have had on my TBR for quite some time and been wanting to explore and her writing was just as wonderful as everyone claimed and I fell so hard for it.

Maggie Cole delivered in every way! I loved her style of mafia and how fast she writes is incredible. I binged this whole series this past summer and it was so fun. She also implements unique tropes and not the typical ones in mafia.

K.A. Tucker is such a wonderful author and this book especially is definitely worth the hype. I can see why she is so well loved and worthy of all of it in my opinion. Her books are so atmospheric and writes such balanced romances that appeal to non romance readers even.

What do you think of authors that I shared here? Have you read any of these? What are your favorite new you authors this year? Let me know in the comments below!

I loved Chanel Cleeton’s Flying Aces series. More than the historical romance. Also The Simple Wild! I need to read the rest of that series.
