Bookish Posts and Books Read of Week of February 26th through March 4th

We are in the month of March!! How already? haha I am so ready for spring though even though we are still at 25 degrees here, I need some warmer weather and soon haha I had such a great reading week though and really happy with what I managed to pick up here! And got through most of my TBR and picked up a couple of mood reads.

(All my books read and their reviews are on Goodreads, I have linked for you)

List and Link book reviews with ratings and description of opinion via goodreads

Book Review-Harmony of Lies by Brian Feehan—Rating 4 Stars—I really loved this one, I did enjoy the first book because there was way more couple time. I am all for couple time, and unfortunately there wasn’t as much as I was hoping for. But I do have high hopes for the next one. Loving this author so far!

Book Read-Only You by Samantha Young—Rating 4 Stars—This was one of my most expected books for 2023 and it was so wonderful. It delivered on such a powerful finale.

Book Listened-Red Lily by Juliette Cross—Rating 3.75 Stars—This was my only audiobook for the week, it was just so busy this week that I could only get one in. but I really enjoyed this one. I enjoyed it way more than the first book, so I am intrigued by the rest of the series

Book Read-Even If It Hurts by Sam Mariano—Rating 4 Stars—This book was SO amazing! It didn’t quite make it five stars, but I truly enjoyed it so much. If you like dark romance and very complex telling for bully romance, then you need to read this book or if you are a fan of Untouchable by Sam Mariano, then you will really enjoy this one.

Book Read-Hard Lovin’ Man by Lorraine Heath—-Rating 4 Stars—This was an enjoyable solid contemporary. The characters were so loveable and the set up was so interesting with them both being single parents and the secret of the heroine was so different that you normally don’t see in romance. So I enjoyed that. I can’t wait to read the other companion novel.

Book read-Stolen Touches by Neva Altaj—Rating 4 Stars—This is an arranged forced marriage. The heroine is a nurse and gets caught in an enemies territory but the hero has an obsession with her. But I really enjoyed seeing these two come together.

Book Read-Warrior by Anna Hackett—Rating 4 Stars—-This book was so endearing! I loved seeing these two come together. There is a mix of unrequited love here. The heroine is obviously pining for the hero, but the hero doesn’t believe he is worthy of the heroine, so its a test of wills here and enjoyed the interactions.

Book Read-Pure Surrender by Aja James—Rating 4.25 Stars—This one got close to a 4.5 star for me, but it had a slow beginning, which is why I had to knock down the rating. But this book was amazing and we get our first official introduction to the dragons that is involved in the world that the author has created.

Book Read-Rock Hard by Olivia Cunning—Rating 4 Stars—This was such a great read. I am so glad that I gave this series a second chance as I think my reading taste currently is perfect for these books. I just love the way she writes the rock star elements. And seeing this second chance set up was so interesting.

Book Read-Consolation Prize by Linda Kage—Rating 5 Stars–This was my favorite book of the week! I just loved everything about this one. Its just so wonderful to read, I love the interracial romance, how the author handles racism in this one and showcasing both sides of it.

Book Read-Driven by Rebecca Zanetti—-Rating 4 Stars===This book just is a kick ass read, it keeps you on edge, and is so different from previous books. I really loved this one here, its one of my more favorite of the series. I think its because I did the series in audio mostly, and I just enjoyed it better physically reading.

Book Read-The Price of Mason by Linda Kage—Rating 3.5 Stars—This was just the hero’s POV from the first book. I liked tihs one, but I am not big on other POV YEARS after the original was released. I feel like its just an author going the easy way to write a story instead of writing a fresh book.

Current Reads

So my current mood is some good alpha male. So I decided to pick up the Meghan March Sin trilogy. Then my current audio is this Kate Meader. I know many loved this series when it was released, but somehow I never picked it up. I have heard the best things about this J.Daniels, so I am excited to pick it up. And its been a while since I have picked up a M/M romance.

Book Releases I am Excited For

When He’s Torn by Suzanne Wright

Right Man Right Time by Meghan Quinn

Rogue by Elle Kennedy

Sweet Sinner by Lisa Renee Jones

My Weekly TBR

These are books that I have a rough TBR for, I normally don’t like a super strict TBR as I tend to be a mood reader, so I might get to these books but depending on my mood, I might not get to all of them, but I will endeavor to try with these. I have some great books lined up this week!

Favorite Book of the Week

This was such an endearing read and there is something so magical about the way that Linda Kage writes her stories. They are just so relatable and her characters so loveable. And one of my favorite interracial romances I have ever read!

I’m with you on wanting warmer weather! It’s so cold here right now. My anniversary is next week and my husband and I were going to try to get away to someplace warmer for a few days, but it looks like that won’t happen. Looks like you got quite a bit reading done and it looks like you enjoyed most of them. I hope you have a good week!
