Hey beautiful people. So Fast Five Friday is a weekly meme I will be hosting every Friday. Where just a handful of recommendations based on a certain subgenre or theme will be shared. These are just quick and my top recs for whatever topic we are doing. And this is a great way to share some quick recommendations to kick off the weekend. Feel free to comment and let me know your recommendations and what you think of the books I am recommending.
So the topic for today will be Paranormal Romance I have always liked this subgenre. Its such a fun one and I just adore all things that go bump in the night. It can be so fascinating to read and you never know what you will get when you pick one up.
Tiger Magic by Jennifer Ashley– This book is everything. I just adore Tiger. He is such an endearing alpha male. So devoted to his lady and so possessive in a way that instantly appeals to you.
The Vampire Who Loved Me– This is a historical vampire romance and its SUPERB. It has gothic spooky vibes, it has suspense and mystery and so many thrills along the way. The romance is a bit forbidden with daring characters you just fall so hard for.
Shadow of the Vampire– This book was such a surprise for me and I adored it. It was so fascinating and had such a level of intensity to it.
Beauty Dates the Beast– This is a fun PNR. Basically a dating supernatural being agency. It has mystery and intrigue to it with many laughs along the way. It is just so endearingly entertaining.
Wilder- This whole series is a blast. Such a great family focus to it, and the intrigue that is behind this series and this family is superb. Seriously this author needs to write more PNR because this book just stunned me at how great it was. If you love shifter romance, this book needs to be at your list.
I used to read so many PNR books, but not so much anymore. Glad you are finding so many gems.
Well all of these I read years ago lol this is just a post that I do some quick recommendations for other readers to kick their weekend off with
I’ve never been big into PNR, but I did read two recent releases that I was surprised by how much I loved them. The Fake Mate by Lana Ferguson and Bride by Ali Hazelwood were both a lot of fun.
I am glad that you enjoyed those. I have heard some great things about them. I most likely won’t read those. Its a shame because I am probably missing out on great books, but unless its a favorite author I don’t read books anymore with illustrated covers like those. Just trying to support authors and books that have more authentic covers to them and especially those with real people on the covers. I just hate seeing them overtake the genre like they are ya know?
I don’t read a whole lot of pn romance but sometimes it really hits the spot. 🙂
Its not as big as it used to be. There were some blogs that were completely devoted to PNR everything haha the good ole days. But I do love it. It can be a ton of fun to read when you are in the mood for the spooks.
I’ve never read these authors, but you’ve recommended Jennifer Ashley before so I’ll definitely give them a try.
I’ll have to check these out! I like the Lynsay Sands Argeneau series. Is that counted as PNR?
haha Yes those are most definitely considered PNR. Anything with vampires, shape shifters or demons are normally considered PNR.
Goes to show you just how many PNR books are out there. I’ve not read any of these though I’ve read others by a couple of them. I need to finish the Jennifer Ashley series.
