Hey beautiful people. So Fast Five Friday is a weekly meme I will be hosting every Friday. Where just a handful of recommendations based on a certain subgenre or theme will be shared. These are just quick and my top recs for whatever topic we are doing. And this is a great way to share some quick recommendations to kick off the weekend. Feel free to comment and let me know your recommendations and what you think of the books I am recommending.
The topic for today are books that are within the Romantic Thriller sub genre. This is a sub genre which isn’t necessarily my go to, I have to be in the mood as the romance is in such a backdrop of it. What are some of your favorite romantic thrillers you think I need to try?
You Can Run by Rebecca Zanetti—This is one of the BEST romantic thrillers I have read. I just loved the chemistry and this couple and its really well built. Zanetti also knows how to write fabulous suspense, but developed the romance solidly despite it being such a backstory.
Red on the River by Christine Feehan if you were burned by the first romantic thriller Feehan did, try this one and in audio. The beginning is just pretty awesome for the couple’s relationship and really enjoyed how she developed the plot, and it was close to my own backyard which was neat.
The Girl in the Woods by Kristen Ashley I would say this is one my least favorite books from this author, but its a solid one done for a romantic thriller. It still has a really great romance while the suspense plot is still the focus.
Naked in Death by J.D. Robb This is a fabulous series. It is futuristic type of time frame but the couple involved are really fun together. The only thing I would change and maybe it happens in later books I have only read the first five in the series, but the relationship could use a bit stronger of a focus. But very well done on the mystery and crime plots developed here.
The Girl Who Knew Too Much by Amanda Quick Very different from anything else I have read from this author, but well done. The setting is so unique as its in the 1930’s in a coastal setting with a bed and breakfast and I really loved the vibe she implements in this series.
I used to love that J.D. Robb series. I read so many of them and I don’t know where I left off.
I love your author picks and these series for the Fast Five category. I need to get caught up on both Rebecca Zanetti and JD Robb series.
All favorite authors of mine 🙂
