Fast Five Friday: LGBTQ Pairings

Hey beautiful people. So Fast Five Friday is a weekly meme I will be hosting every Friday. Where just a handful of recommendations based on a certain subgenre or theme will be shared. These are just quick and my top recs for whatever topic we are doing. And this is a great way to share some quick recommendations to kick off the weekend. Feel free to comment and let me know your recommendations and what you think of the books I am recommending.

So today I wanted to share some of my favorites if you are looking for a non MF traditional pairing. I have read some great couples for this dynamic and excited to share the one’s I love with you today!

Dark Purity by Aja James I absolutely LOVED this book. And is one of my more recent MM favorite pairings. This relationship just synced together so well. They were so well matched and the relationship so beautifully handled.

Saving Mia by Anna Stone I have never read a FF pairing like this one. Most FF romances are really tame lol but this one had such delicious chemistry in it and was such a compelling story.

The Tragedy of Felix and Jake by J. Daniels This one had such a beautiful message in it. It does deal with some tough issues and really appreciated how this author addresses those issues so delicately and in such a relatable way.

Throttled by Veronica West This BOOK! I swear it was so so good. I love a racing romance but this was the first time I ever read one with a MM pairing, it also has a gay for you type of theme to it too. Great spice and great relationship building.

A Lesson in Thorns by Sierra Simone This series has such a intriguing outlook at poly pairings. Sierra Simone handled it so brilliantly. Keep in mind her endings are pretty non traditional, its still a HEA, just not in the way you would expect it to happen. It has powerful chemistry but while at the same time the emotional intimacy between these couples so well developed.

Aja James does such an incredible job with MM romance. Honestly, the best I’ve read so far 🙂

I read a fun and light FF romance and also a space opera-style FF last year by new to me authors because most of my LGBTQA has been gay pairings. I’ve enjoyed returning to a couple old fav m/m authors already this year as I work from my TBR piles. I’ve not tried any on your list, but have heard great things about Sierra Simone in particular.

I’m interested in The Tragedy of Felix and Jake, but feel like I need to be in the right mood for it. The mood to have my heart trampled. lol

I loved Felix and Jake! I was a little surprised you didn’t have Wes and Jamie on here, though.

These are more less known pairings. Just about everyone I know has read Jamie and Wes lol These are books most readers haven’t read. This meme post isn’t exactly my top top faves, just a good intro into the theme or topic or books I think deserve a bit more love.
