Bookish Posts and Books Read of Week of April 30th Through May 6th
This week was pretty solid. Its been getting warmer but we did get a couple of rainy days over the weekend. Nothing too much though, but we need the slightly cooler temps to keep the snow from melting too quickly to help slow the amount of flooding here. This week was Star Wars Day so I admit I took a break from my regular reading to indulge in some star wars reads and it was quite fun to get back to some books I read when I was a teenager, There was some drama this weekend with evicting a roomie who refused to pay rent and she did some vandalism so boy am I tired cleaning her mess up. But hopefully her replacement will be low key drama and chill.
(All my books read and their reviews are on Goodreads, I have linked for you)

Book read-Travis by Mia Sheridan—Rating 4 Stars—I ADORED this one so much. I was nervous about it because of how Travis treats Archer in Archer’s Voice, but this book had such a great redemption, seriously that ending had me in tears! The romance was slow though a bit but quite enjoyable.
Book Read-Headcase by Onley James—Rating 5 Stars—Back to the Necessary Evils series and this book was amazing! I loved every single minute. This was one of the twins books and it was so endearing. I loved the dynamic that was introduced with this one here. A bit of kidnapping is involved and it was *chefs kiss*.
Book Listened-Eclipse the Moon by Jessie Mihalik—Rating 4 Stars—So fun getting back to this series. Every time I pick this author up, I realize how much I love this style of sci fi. Definitely enjoyed this romance, so poignant at times. Great plot buildup and loved the climax. Definitely eager for book three.
Book Read-Jane’s Warlord by Angela Knight—Rating 4 Stars—This was different but AWESOME!!! It was so fascinating seeing this author’s take on time travel and I really enjoyed how this book was set up.
Book Read-Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas—Rating 5 Stars–I just loved this book so deeply. It was superb in every way. The BEST bully romance I have ever read but is also my favorite Douglas romance. Just so so good.
Book Read-The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton—Rating 5 Stars—This was a re read and just loved returning to this one here. This is where we see Han and Leia get married and actually finalize their romance. Its superb. Basically Han kidnaps Leia because she is betrothed to another man, and they crash land on this mysterious planet and its pretty entertaining!
Book Read-Star Wars: Book One by Paul Davids and Hollace Davids—-Rating 5 Stars—-Love these books. Its basically a combination hardcover with three stories that feature our crew Luke, Leia and Han and their adventures shortly after “Return of the Jedi” This is before Han and Leia have kids. Lots of fun adventures.
Book Read-Star Wars: Book Two by Paul Davids and Hollace Davids—Rating 5 Stars—This is the second companion book with three other stories. So it makes for a total of 5 stories. Now if you want to read these, the individual stories are available on Kindle. While these are the best star wars I have read (Timothy Zahn is the best in my opinion).
Book Read-Echoes of You by Catherine Cowles—Rating 5 Stars—This book was so beautiful! One of the best friends to lovers romances I have ever read. Catherine Cowles just wrote it to perfection.
Book Review-Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas
Book Review-Ghostly Game by Christine Feehan

I got a mix of New Adult, a Scotland Romantic Suspense, A Nautical Historical with a scarred hero, a Irish Mafia enemies to lovers, and a sweet small town romance! And look at all the pretty spring colors. I just love it.

I never realized Star Wars day was such a think. This guy at work walked in wearing a helmet (over his face and everything), pulled a light saber from his back pack, and then took a long sip from this huge container shaped like R2D2. He went hard.
Evicting soemeone is never pleasant! I hope the next roommate will be a good fit for everyone!
Yikes! Sorry you had roommate drama! That is awful. I love Star wars! I completely forgot about star wars day this year until a coworker said something. I never forget!
That roommate stuff does not sound fun. Sorry you had to deal with that.
That’s terrible about the roommate drama. I hope the replacement is a much better fit (and is an easygoing roommate!). I’m reading Echoes of You on audio now and loving it! Nash and Maddie are the best. 🙂
