I can’t believe that we are done with April, I feel like the more we get into the year, the faster time goes by! We are finally in the spring season, and for us in Utah, its a weather transition month. Its been a crazy month of cold winter days and warm 60 degree days. But its been a GREAT reading month. The best I have had all year actually. I did get some dental treatment as I have been in pain for quite a long while and its such a relief now. I also decided to host a read-along starting in May and its so so exciting! Its a read-along for the Breeds series by Lora Leigh. So if you love PNR or Sci Fi anything, you should definitely join in on it. But also another highlight of the month as you can see in my stats section is how MANY FIVE STAR READS I HAD??? Like what kool-aid was I drinking? I have no clue how I picked up so many books, but about half my books were five star reads, that NEVER happens. My five stars aren’t common, I just happened to pick up so many good books this month!

Acquisitions/Savings
So one of my goals for this year, is to track my acquisitions and see what I am saving through my subscriptions and such. So each month I will be sharing my month’s current savings. Now while part of me would love to purchase everything and keep all of it, and while I do have the money to buy books, its nice to save money when and where I can especially during a recession.
March Totals:
Total Spent: $47.31
Subscription Costs: Libraries, Audible Plus, Anyplay, KU: $28.98
Total Month Savings: $190.98
Reading Challenges
So, I am not participating in too many reading challenges this year. My focus for the year is the Goodreads (of course), Romanceopoly and a few of the reading challenges on Storygraph. Just simple ones. So below I will be sharing my reading progress with you on these every month.
Goodreads Reading Challenge
I am at 165 books out of 500 and I am 2 books ahead of schedule. So far I am doing pretty good with this one but due to my pain issues, I got behind but planning on catching up shortly. I will be planning on striving for 50 for May.
Romanceopoly Reading Challenge-Under the Covers Book Blog
So I have completed 67% of the challenge. I have been keeping up with the books that I plan on for this. I have really been loving this challenge so far and I got caught up on it! If you are looking for a FUN challenge, you definitely need to join in on it. I also love how adaptable it is, you can really make it work for you in whatever way

Zanders
Chicago hockey isn’t complete without me—everyone’s favorite player to hate. I know my role, and I play it well. In fact, I thoroughly enjoy spending the majority of my game time in the penalty box before leaving the arena with a new girl on my arm each night.
What I don’t like is the new flight attendant on our team’s private plane. She works for me, not the other way around. But I’ll be sure to remind her of that, and I can guarantee, by the end of the season, she’ll be begging to quit her job.
But every road trip blurs the lines, and I can’t quite figure out if I keep pushing that flight attendant call button in order to push her buttons or if it’s more than that.
Stevie
I’ve been a flight attendant for years. I thought I’d see it all, but when my new job lands me onboard working for the most egotistical and self-righteous diva in the NHL, I start to second guess everything. Including the promise I made to myself of never hooking up with an athlete again…no matter how annoyingly tempting he may be.
Evan Zanders is unfiltered, unapologetic, and too attractive for his own good. He loves his image, but I hate everything about it.
Everything but him.
This book changed my LIFE! It was so amazing how this author developed this story. I would say I enjoyed this just slightly more than book 2 but both books I five starred. what impressed me the most was how fleshed out this story was. For a sports romance, normally sports romances aren’t this well developed. And I just loved it.
Adam Mulvaney lives a double life. By day, he’s the spoiled youngest son of an eccentric billionaire. By night, he’s an unrepentant killer, one of seven psychopaths raised to right the wrongs of a justice system that keeps failing.
Noah Holt has spent years dreaming of vengeance for the death of his father, but when faced with his killer, he learns a daunting truth he can’t escape. His father was a monster.
Unable to ignore his own surfacing memories, Noah embarks on a quest to find the truth about his childhood with the help of an unlikely ally: the very person who murdered his father. Since their confrontation, Adam is obsessed with Noah, and he wants to help him uncover the answers he seeks, however dark they may be.
The two share a mutual attraction, but deep down, Noah knows Adam’s not like other boys. Adam can’t love. He wasn’t born that way. But he refuses to let Noah go, and Noah’s not sure he wants him to.
Can Adam prove to Noah that passion, power, and protection are just as good as love?
This is a book and well whole series that is superb! Each book is so fantastic. If you love vigilante justice and MM romance, then you MUST read these books. I just loved this book so much. It definitely tackles some darker subjects of course, but the humor is SO delightful. I just loved it so much.
A woman unable to connect, struggling to hide another part of her. A man burning to learn her truth, and make her whole. Through explosive passion and deep exploration, they are about to take the greatest risk of all. But will they be able to take that leap, and come out on the other side together?
In this next passionate novel in the Honey series, New York Times bestselling author Kristen Ashley delivers a stunningly romantic and intensely sexy novel that will stay with you long after you turn the final page.
I really adored this book so much. This series is spectacular. I just love everything about it. And I personally think its some of KA’s best work, hands down. Its so creative and well researched and she really does well with the BDSM aspects while also maintaining her classic style of writing.
Honorable Mentions
I wish I could express how much I adored all of these books and could have added them also in my top favorite and they are really all over the genres here. Definitely most swoony worthy reads that I can’t recommend enough if you haven’t read them!
Twenty-three 5-star reads??!! Whoa, that is an excellent reading month! Seeing the Tomforde books reminds me that I need to make her a priority very soon!
You read a lot of good books this month! I loved that Tomforde book. It would make my top of the month as well.
Oooh you make me want to read that KA book! It’s been such a long time since I’ve read her books! Also half your reads were five stars, that’s amazing!
I bet your savings is even more. You read a massive number of books. Subscription plans are great for a reader like you
I love it when one of those months pop up when you have a lot of 5-star reads. I am so glad you were able to get some dental work done. Hopefully, the pain will not come back anytime soon.
You’ve had a wonderful reading month despite having to deal with pain. 165 books so far? Wow! That’s amazing, Renee!
