Valentines Book Tag

Happy Valentines Day! Of course since Valentine’s Day is tomorrow I’ll be doing this tag! As You know my blog is probably Valentines Day celebration ALL YEAR ROUND! I do love me the romance. And I pretty much read it all in the genre. I do like to celebrate Valentines and do my own celebration. Whether or not I am with someone, I take advantage of having a special meal, some delicious chocolates and reading by candlelight and some romantic music.

Stand Alone Book(s) You Love

I tend to not read too many standalones. My focus and love is more for series than standalones because I love seeing the world grow and seeing characters I love get their own books and get a series around one couple and seeing their relationship grow over time! But I do have some standalones that I do enjoy!

So for my picks, pretty much all of these books I absolutely adored! I wanted to share some of my top favorites, although I read these more recently. Each of these delivered such a strong story that I highly recommend you pick up if you haven’t yet!

Dystopian Book You Love

I don’t get a chance to read too many dystopian setups however, I have read some great dystopian romances! I do love dystopian books because I love how creative authors can get on this. And this doesn’t mean its going to have lots of zombies or anything necessarily. I just love seeing each of these authors deal with various creativity in the dystopian set ups! And if you haven’t read these yet, then you need to!

A Book That You Love But No One Else Talks About

This is such an interesting one, because this happens ALOT! lol I feel like many books I love, no one else seems to discuss ever. So I want to share some of my favorites that are so underrated and need some more TLC. So many of these need more love. I know many of you heart me discuss the Bittner, so I am putting it up here as another reminder to read it. Linda Kage just writes the most real, inspiring new adult romances where if there is drama and angst, it makes sense and isn’t overblown like so many in the sub genre. And this one just will always have my heart! Letting Go is one of the most underappreciated from Maya Banks, it is BDSM, but its so endearing and sweet. So if you want to try BDSM, I can’t recommend Letting Go enough! Then Dark Song is hardly ever discussed, and its one of the best books Feehan has ever written and it has a heroine not ashamed of her femininity and a hero that wants to be who she needs and a true partner. I am sure many of you that read historical romance, remember Amy Sandas and her regency books, but her westerns in my opinion are her best writing and have like 1/4 of the ratings and reviews which break my heart. Bound by Blood is part of a series that is amazing, Sophia Rose I believe is the one that introduced me to these, and they are wonderful if you like light aspects of PNR or want a introduction to PNR. Everyone is always discussing Woodiwiss most troublesome books like Shanna or Flame and the Flower but if you are new to the author, read Petals on the River. Its low angst between the couple, its sweet and endearing.

Favorite Book Couple

This wasn’t too hard of a contest! Although there is no way that I would be able to stick with one couple. Jake and Randy will always have a special place in my heart. Warprize just delivers completely on this pairing and they have 3 books to see them in! Then of course, we can’t forget Rain and Ellysetta. They are just EPIC! If you are going to read any medievals, you need to pick up This Is All I Ask and you will see why this pair is so special. If I had to pick any couple from Kleypas it would be Sebastian and Evie. They are just so beautifully written! Then of course, we have Raphael and Elena, those of you who have read these books KNOW exactly why they are one of my favorite couples. Just the way that they grow together is so precious. Then for my final pick is Del Rey and Anya, I just think this was so perfectly capture on their relationship and I never wanted it to end and could talk about them forever!

Book(s) That Other People Love But You Haven’t Read Yet

These books have been on my TBR for the longest time! ALL of these are super popular and I am probably the only romance reader that hasn’t read any of these here. I do plan on getting to most of these this year hopefully. Let me know your favorite and which one of these I should pick up first!

So Whispers of You is on my TBR this week and I think will be the most romantic and endearing to read! As many issues that I have with season 2 of Bridgerton, I absolutely LOVED the first season, and I mean Fifty Shades is a great adaptation and is perfect to watch for Valentines!
