Fast Five Friday: Mythological Fantasy

Hey beautiful people. So Fast Five Friday is a weekly meme I will be hosting every Friday. Where just a handful of recommendations based on a certain subgenre or theme will be shared. These are just quick and my top recs for whatever topic we are doing. And this is a great way to share some quick recommendations to kick off the weekend. Feel free to comment and let me know your recommendations and what you think of the books I am recommending.

So today I am going to share some recommendations of books that have the mythological fantasy romance. This is where these are more fantastical with mythology themes.

Bound by Elisabeth Naughton-This author was my first introduction to mythological fantasy and Bound was my first intro into it. I absolutely loved this romance. It was such a fun road trip adventure with forbidden romance feels as their people are enemies.

Goddess of Sea by PC Cast- If you love mermaids and time travel and great historical vibes, then this is a story for you. It was so fascinating and loved the unconventional HEA. But it is a HEA.

Atlantis Rising by Alyssa Day-I love the myths that we see involved in this one here and the setting of Atlantis under the sea. Its so rich in detail and has such a well built plot. The world build is so fascinating and if you love greek mythology, you will have a blast with it.

Bastian by Elizabeth Amber-This is basically a super spicy mythological fantasy. The world building is so different than you will expect it to be. It has some mistaken identity and great myths and a sexy alpha male.

Dark Longing by Aja James- This is such a wonderful read! And the historical context and wonderful second chance romance with glimpses of reincarnation that was so well done. Also if you need good steam in your books, you can rely on Aja James for that.

I am curious as to what mythological creatures were incorporated. I read a few mermaid books back when

I think Gena Showalter’s Atlantis series was my first intro to this sub-genre. I do love seeing myths paired with a good romance. I am not familiar with some of your picks so good to get them on my radar now.
