Hey beautiful people. So Fast Five Friday is a weekly meme I will be hosting every Friday. Where just a handful of recommendations based on a certain subgenre or theme will be shared. These are just quick and my top recs for whatever topic we are doing. And this is a great way to share some quick recommendations to kick off the weekend. Feel free to comment and let me know your recommendations and what you think of the books I am recommending.

So today our topic is going to be Futuristic Romance this is a subgenre in romance that isn’t talked about very often. It tends to get mixed with other subgenres. And to be honest I just haven’t read enough of it but I did want to share some of my personal favorites.

Coyotes Mate by Lora Leigh-This is one of my favorite “Marriage in trouble” romances. I just love this story so much and is my favorite of the series. The couple dynamic, the spice, the plot and the third act especially is so intense and perfection and that ending *chef’s kiss*

The Legend of Banzai Maguire-This looks like it would be sci fi and in some ways it is. Its futuristic, behind enemy lines of China, hero is a SEAL rescuing the heroine who has been taken captive. I really love the

Red Moon by Elizabeth Kelly-This was such a delight to read. Its basically a futuristic shifter romance and it’s delightful. Such a page-turner and just a fun quick read with a fascinating pack dynamic.

Star Crossed by Susan Krinard-This is basically a couple originally find each other, but then the worlds that they come from are at war and they are torn in a “Romeo and Juliet” type of situation where their love is truly forbidden and their lives are on the line if they are caught together.

Jane’s Warlord by Angela Knight- I recently read this one and it was actually delightful. Not perfect but such a great time travel romance with an alpha male protector and traveling to the future to be together.

I really do love futuristic romances but they aren’t super common unless its sci fi or dystopian right? So its definitely interesting to see how authors write them.

I don’t think I have read any futuristic romances though I have read space operas which featured romance or Dystopians that featured romance. Leight is the only author I am familiar with from this batch as well.
