Bookish Posts and Books Read of Week of June 4th Through June 10th
This week has been such a steady week. Nothing too spectacular about this past week, I saw Little Mermaid for the third time haha My roommate wanted to go see it so of course as I have loved it, I didn’t complain being able to see it again on the big screen. I also was able to see Fast X. It was interesting, but not a fan of the ending. Work was pretty great this past week though, and I was able to do some drives through the canyon this week which was really fun. Going to plan on going swimming this week which should be fun.
As far as reading, it was such a mix bad of rating this week, but that’s alright but I did have three five stars although one doesn’t count as its a reread! But hopefully next week will be a better turn out of books. But I got to 10 books, so thats definitely good and still on track for 500 for the year! YAY!
(All my books read and their reviews are on Goodreads, I have linked for you)

Book Read-Liars Like Us by J.T. Geissinger—Rating 4 Stars—I really enjoyed this one but unfortunately I didn’t love it. It was quite different from her previous series and I had issues with how the third act was handled. But eager for the next installment.
Book Read-Satisfy Me by Ryan Michele—Rating 4 Stars—This was a novella that had a “valentines day” theme. We got to see an extended epilogue of the first three couples in the series and this was so so fun to read!
Book Read-Secrets That We Keep by Linda Kage—Rating 5 Stars—Such a win of a book. I absolutely adored how this plot developed. It had some great forbidden themes but seeing the twins of the Mason and Reece find their HEA and I will admit the blurb put me off on this one as its been on my kindle for weeks, but ya know it was AMAZING but Linda Kage never disappoints.
Book Read-Rattle Me by Ryan Michele—Rating 5 Stars—What a great one this one is. This is where we see our couple have a baby and I just loved this one. This couple suffered a miscarriage so to see them find some happiness with a child was so endearing.
Book Re-Read-Untouchable by Sam Mariano—Rating 5 Stars—This was a great book to re read. I was reading this as a buddy read and it was so much fun to read this again. And it was just as good as the first time that I read it. Just loved returning to this wonderful story.
Audio Book Read-Munro by Kresley Cole—Rating 3 Stars—I wanted to love this one but this book just didn’t work out for me as I had expected. There were many plot holes and the heroine rubbed me the wrong way.
Book Read-Champion by Anna Hackett—Rating 4 Stars—This was such a wonderful book, I loved getting back to this series again. Definitely plenty of love and action and thrills to enjoy, very eager to get to the next one.
Book Listened-Scandalous by Minerva Spencer—Rating 4 Stars—Absolutely adored this one here. It wasn’t a perfect book, but it was an enjoyable one. It had plenty of adventure, some drama but great laughs.
Audio Book Listened-The Spy by Sophie Lark—Rating 5 Stars—What a fabulous book! Best read of the week! Absolutely loved this one here. This series is really wonderful and the best that this author has written. So I highly recommend reading these if you want to try her out.
Book Read-Passion & Ink by Naima Simone—Rating 3 Stars—This was a disappointment. I just couldn’t seem to connect to this couple. I am not sure if its because it was physically reading this one instead of listening to this one. But kinda sad that the author hasn’t kept up on this series.

So the audiobook that I literally just finished up as I was putting this post together is “An Invitation to Seduction by Lorraine Heath” and I really enjoyed it quite a bit, actually turned out better than I originally thought it would be. My current ebook is “The Temptation by Nikki Sloane” and I am really excited for this one here. I have had such a blast with this series and really excited to return to the finale (I think its the finale haha). Then the next one I will be tackling is “Reckless by Elsie Silver” and actually surprsingly really eager for this one here. I have struggled with this series (not that any of the books are bad, just as a gal who reads plenty of westerns, these books are overrated). But I am going into this one completely open minded so hopefully it ends up a win for me. My current Audiobook is “Kinked by Thea Harrison” and these books are amazing in audiobook so I am eager to delve into it. Planning on relaxing with my switch this evening and this audio. Then to finish off the weekend I am going to try to get into this Harper St. George. Why is it when I am in the mood for this author it’s AFTER the book is released and I was gifted the ARC. Now normally I don’t necessarily need to be in the mood for books unless its HR (still working on that).

My Weekly TBR
These are books that I have for what I term a flexible TBR shelf for the week. As some of you know, I have been working on switching from being a mood reader to a TBR reader where I just work around a flexible weekly TBR. So for this week I am mixing in plenty of sub genres with a mix of KU, ARC and some series I am trying to get finished up.

I managed to pick up some goodies this week!!!! I really can’t wait to read these all. Lots of great finds! And there was an audible sale so here are some of the goodies I grabbed up.
Omg 500 books, I’m already so impressed with myself for probably hitting 100 this year xD And I’ve also had a bit of a mixed bag rating wise, but they were all interesting in their own way. I’m trying really hard to become a TBR reader rather than a mood reader as well, but have not entirely succeeded so far. I hope you enjoy your flexible TBR shelf though! Have a lovely week 🙂

I would call 4 -5 stars a winning week. I am happy to get through without any DNFs (which was last week). Three times to see Little Mermaid. I am too cheap to see things multiple times.
I love swimming and… I still haven’t seen the Little Mermaid LOL I am glad that you had a good week Renee!
Sounds like you had a pretty good week despite a few 3 star reads! Enjoy swimming. Have a great week!
You’ve seen Little Mermaid three more times than I have. I don’t usually go to the theater, though. I wait until video. I am reading Reckless right now. I hope you love it.
I have yet to see The Little Mermaid, but I’m sure I’ll end up seeing it with my grandkids at some point. Yay for getting out for a scenic drive and I hope you enjoy your swim.
I’m excited for the new RaeAnneThayne too!
