First off wishing you all a very Happy Easter!! I hope you all have a great day in the celebration of this beautiful day! This past week was actually pretty solid. My mouth is feeling so much more relief and getting back into reading and getting more balance in my schedule. I will be going back into the office starting this Monday. Not sure how I feel about it lol I have missed the social aspect of it though and being around humans but it will take some adjustment as I have been working from home for so long. But I think it will be better for me emotionally and mentally. Even though I am a introvert, I need to be around people even if I don’t like it lol This past week spiritually was a great week as it was holy week which as a Latter Day Saint, is very special for us. Will be spending Easter with the family. It was also my birthday week which was a fun week of treating myself to some spa days, shopping and a lunch with the parentals.

Book Read-The Ritual by Shantel Tessier—Rating 4 Stars—This book was completely BONKERS and so WILD! I picked this at random when I saw a Instagram post for this book and I am glad that I finally picked up this author but it was still insane adventure of a ride.
Book Read-Come With Me by Brooke Montgomery—Rating 4.25 Stars—What a SWEET western! I had such a fun time with this one and was a great palette cleanser. And it had a secret baby trope that worked so well. This is how the trope should be written more often and definitely eager to explore more of this author and loved the stronger western vibes.
Book Read-Falcon by Michelle Heard—Rating 4 Stars—Well this was a surprise. For a dark romance author…I was NOT expecting a Rom Com. haha I was laughing so hard throughout this one. Still has a alpha male, shy heroine dynamic but I am telling you it knocked my socks off in the humor department.
Book Read-All the Lies by Rina Kent—-Rating 3.5 Stars—So was a hard one to get into it, while the writing was pretty immersive, I really struggled with how the hero treated the heroine. Now he has a reason for it, but at the same time doesn’t. But Rina Kent handled the mystery and intrigue surrounding the circumstances so well for it.
Book Read-All the Truths by Rina Kent—Rating 4.25 Stars—What a great book this one was, this is where everything gets revealed and I just loved all the mysteries that were revealed. This is what Rina Kent is really talented at. Crafting such unique setups that have such a satisfying feel to them.
Book Listened-BlackWolfe by Kathryn Le Veque—Rating 4.5 Stars—Brad Wills knocked the audio out of the park for this one. Absolutely had a blast with this one. It was a bit different but I couldn’t put it down and I really resonated with the characters so well.
Book ReRead—Serpent by Kathryn Le Veque—Rating 5 Stars—I just had to do a reread, I will admit BlackWolfe inspired me because the hero from it is the brother of the heroine in this book and I don’t know I was just eager to read it. And it was just as good as the first time that I read it.

Current Reads
My Audiobook is Credence by Penelope Douglas and I honestly just haven’t listened to much of it. I am debating switching it out because with how many characters involved, its kinda confusing listening to it so I might switch to the ebook. But I will give it a few more chapters before I decide. Then I have Here With Me by Brooke Montgomery and really excited for this age gap. We saw glimpses of this relationship in the prequel and I am just been itching to get to this couple. Mason by Michelle Heard I just had to pick up soon, because the first book ended up with a serial cliffhanger and I need to know what happens to our group. Plus this hero is the tortured bad boy who scares everyone haha I have a feeling he is a teddy bear with his girl. Then I got a library book for The Scandal by Kristen Proby and even though I am not always a fan of her third act conflicts, she definitely writes great stories. I heard about A Soul to Heal and yes technically its a monster romance, but its more supernatural then animalistic weirdness lol and I like the premise of the heroine being injured and the hero being her caretaker.
Book Releases I am Excited For
Avenging Angel by Kristen Ashley (I know many of you are KA fans, not sure I will pick it up though as I don’t like her newer style)
Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn
Poisonous Kiss by Jagger Cole
A Vampire’s Mate by Rebecca Zanetti
The Best of Friends by Sarah M. Eden
My Weekly TBR
My weekly TBR consists of what I term a “Flexible TBR” basically means I try to read this TBR every week, but sometimes I will also pick up some random books that just sound good at the time. But I will endear to stick with my TBR as its carefully picked. This week I am working on the reads I didn’t get to last week and some new additions to my shelf.
Favorite Book of the Week
This one made the most impact for me. It was more slow burn and the audio was narrated so well. This author just makes these time periods come alive. Just ignore the covers and I promise you will have no regrets!
New Additions to AR Library
I finally got the two other books in the love triangle trilogy by Pam Godwin so now I have ZERO excuse not to read it. But it is one of the few love triangles that resonates in a real life way. Darkest Sins is the newest of AltaJ and can’t wait for it. Then I went to my local Deseret Book and grabbed up some Non Fiction church literature in celebration of my birthday week.
So many good things – birthday celebrations and some pain relief, yeah! Good luck getting back into the swing of things with work. I hope your back to office transition goes well.
Happy Easter Renee! I hope going back to the office will go smoothly for you!
Good luck going back to the office. I think the initial trepidation is always the hardest to overcome. Once you are back, it is easier. Glad your mouth is feeling better though. Enjoy all your books!
Happy belated birthday and Easter! I celebrated with my extended family. I hope working back in the office goes well for you.
Happy Easter and happy Birthday, Renee! Glad you got to spend time contemplating spiritual matters for holy week and spending time with your family, but also yay for having your mouth heal and lots of good reading.
Happy belated birthday!! xo
Easter is a big deal for my family as well. I hope you have an amazing week, being around people again 🙂
