Thanksgiving Book Tag

by | Nov 23, 2022 | Book Tag | 5 comments

First off, as its Thanksgiving Eve, I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving (for those that live in the states)! I hope you are able to spend it with loved ones, and if you aren’t able to be with your loved ones, I hope you find a way to celebrate in your own way! I personally will be going to Vernal here in Utah, about a 2-hour drive, as my sister is hosting at her farmhouse. Should be a fun time!

So below I thought to do something fun to celebrate and get you all in the right frame of mind for Thanksgiving. There are a couple of good book tags, but this one is really fun. I will be basing this on books I read recently, (as if I did all my favorites of all time it would take all day, and if you have been around for a while you all probably know what my top picks would be haha).

Friends and Family-A Book With Characters that Feel Like Family

There is something so endearing about the characters that Maya Banks writes. Every single book is so endearing in the character connection and most especially the family connections that we see. The author just pulls the reader right into that familial connection, that you just help but fall in love with.

Fallen Leaves-A Book That Fell Flat (Didn’t Meet Your Expectations)

I had so much hope for this book, everyone was raving about this one here. Now I didn’t hate this book, it just didn’t meet up my expectations. I read lots of westerns, and to be honest this just didn’t cut it and the heroine was hard for me. So yeah wasn’t a big fan of this one. It was a solid read though, just didn’t love it like I expected to.

Thanksgiving Dinner-A Book That You Want To Read Every Year This Season

I absolutely adored this book so much and it takes a LOT for me to want to do reread of a book these days. And this book I can see myself reading more than once on this one.

Turkey-A Book With A Bind In It

Door of Bruises is part of a four book series. As much as I loved these books, it definitely had a bind in that the actually menage relationship and the ending I struggled with as it just wasn’t as well built as I expected it to be.

Ham-A Book That Made Your Eyes Glaze Over

I will be honest, I think the big part of this book that I just wasn’t fully pulled into it was due to the narrator and you need to fully focus on it or you miss big things. So unless you are sitting down and just listening and not doing anything else then it just didn’t do much for me. Not sure why to be honest as I tend to be one that can easily multi task while listening to audiobooks.

Dinner Rolls-A Book That Melted Your Heart and Warmed You All Over

one of the best CONTEMPORARIES I have read all year. I absolutely adored this one and their relationship was so endearing and I never wanted it to end. They had such a deep connection that was so heartwarming and delivered on all the feels!

Mashed Potatoes-A Book With A White Cover

Not sure this counts as a fully white cover but it has snow on it, so that counts right? And makes me wish I had a outside skating rink to skate on (even though I don’t ice skate haha)

Gravy-A Book That You’re Not Sure Why You Really Love But You Do

This author is like romance crack on steroids haha and this book and really the whole series so far is CRAZY SAUCE but I somehow love it anyway. I mean these heroes are practically psychopaths, but the author writes them in a way that just works for the reader and you can’t help but love despite some of the things they do.

Pumpkin Pie-A Dessert Book That You Love

I just had to have this author’s books on this one. This book was everything I could have hoped for and more and honestly felt like have a delicious tasty dessert of reading. I couldn’t seem to get enough of it and just loved the magical realism aspects to the contemporary.

I have only read the Tucker book. I liked it. Me and second chance romances get on well. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I had to laugh at your description of Rina Kent’s heroes. Sometimes I can totally recognize problems in a book, or know it’s OTT, but I just don’t care and I love it anyway.
