This is a new feature I want to try to do on a more consistent basis, I don’t know if it will be a weekly feature but I might just make it one if it’s popular enough! So let me know if you love this feature. The “Recommend It” feature, is where I will recommend romances based on a certain theme, trope or character type.
Today our topic will be Bodyguard Heroes. I absolutely adored this character type so much! Its one of my favorites and it always delivers on the chemistry between a couple. What we see within this theme is well built chemistry and a protective hero and normally it will blend with some romantic suspense. I really enjoy a bodyguard romance because it just adds to the story with a touch of fobidden even. There is a blend of forced proximity because they are so close to each other.
This is one of the BEST bodyguard romances that I have ever read! This one is truly amazing. It does have a mix of enemies to lovers and a forbidden love as this is also a royal romance. I adored the way that this author delivered this book. The chemistry and connection was so gravitating. And you can read it as a standalone if needed.
The hero is a FBI agent, and the heroine saves his life from a criminal but it ends up putting her life in danger. And there is an instant connection between them. (But many of Jennifer Ryan suspense books have the bodyguard/security theme).
This is one of my favorite highlander books and the hero is such a protector. He is escorting her to court, and her life is in danger he ends up having to protect her despite them not getting along. I adored this book so much (and the audio is superb). Its such an engaging fun adventure filled romance!
The heroine is a ballerina, and ends up with her life in danger with a stalker so she has a protector within the hero. This has such a classic KA feel to it. I absolutely adored this one so much, and one you won’t be able to put down.
This is one of the best books by this author and has such a great bodyguard feel to the story. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is fabulous and the hero is also a cowboy! Yeehaw! (and if you like BDSM, he gets creative in a barn with a riding crop).
This story is so wonderful! The heroine is blind and the hero is her bodyguard and loved their connection to each other. The stepback is gorgeous, so I had to share.
Turbulent Sea is one of the best paranormal bodyguard romances written. I absolutely adored this story and the chemistry is on point. The way that these two banter is fun.
The heroine is no pansy, as she is a ex police officer, but she has a dangerous stalker and when she comes to Scotland to renew her relationship with her dad, the hero becomes such a strong protector in the wilds of Scotland and his castle!
I am cheating a bit with this one, but I am almost finished with it. But its fabulous. It has a blend of romantic suspense and paranormal, the heroine’s life is in danger and the hero runs a security firm. Its so addictive and gravitating.
This is a forbidden romance. The heroine is a royal and the hero is her personal bodyguard. It also has unrequited love with a pining heroine. The chemistry is so wonderful in this one and so hilarious! You can’t go wrong with Emma Chase.
I loved Royally Endowed! I need to read Twisted Games if you love it that much. Have you read The Bodyguard by Katherine Center? That’s a great one with a female bodyguard, which makes it different.
This is not a trope I read much, though, I read The Bodyguard by Katherine Center (the heroine was the bodyguard). I think
Royally Endowed was so much fun. Not my favorite of the series but still so good.
Didn’t Jodi Ellen Malpas also write a book with a bodyguard??
Love Jennifer Ryan’s books. Great guys.
