Recommend It: Alpha Heroines

This is a new feature I want to try to do on a more consistent basis, I have actually received such great feedback for this weekly post, so I will be doing this weekly. I am so excited as I always have such great recommendations as I read all over the genre and my hope is that I can share recs that are for all the sub genres if I can! The “Recommend It” feature, is where I will recommend romances based on a certain theme, trope or character type. If you have a trope or theme or character type you want me to put at the top of my list, I have a form that I have created that will just automatically upload into my spreadsheet and I will put it at the top of my list! I feel like as book bloggers, reviewers, readers, we all have great lists to share and this is what I hope I can do for any that want to expand their horizons in the romance genre.

My Top Picks

Catalina is such a gold star of a heroine. I love how well she can kick ass but at the same time is so mindful of those around her. She has such a heart of gold. She is also the best heroine that Ilona Andrews have ever written. (Yeah I am going to say this but she is better than Kate) and the primary reason for this is how she is with Alessandro. The type of connection they have and the way she has such trust and faith in her man. They just have such healthy representation of a relationship.

This heroine is so wonderful. I love Anya and she is my favorite heroine from this author as well. There is something about her character that just draws you in so fully to the story. The way she stands on her own and fights for their people and willing to risk her life and the man she loves for what is right just portrays such “QUEEN” status.

Evelyn has such a beautiful heart! I love her caring and kind heart but also her willingness to fight for what is right. She goes down a path that leads her to being a true leader and embracing her true potential. She has such grace about it and inner core of strength.

Other Favorites I Recommend

Selenka is a heroine that I wish we would see in more romances if I am being honest. She has such strength and integrity to her and is a true leader but at the same time she knows how to treat men fairly. She is so attentive to the hero and his mental and emotional well being.

Jade is such a badass of a heroine! She is a vampire queen and knows what she wants. This is a heroine that has such beautiful character growth and love the way that she evolves in a way that makes her relatable.

Grace is passionate, strong willed and driven. She stands on her own and has such heart and courage to fight for what she believes in. She is a heroine anyone can easily get behind on.

I adored this heroine so much. She really knows how to kick ass and be a leader. She has such a will of iron and willing to sacrifice so much for those she loves.

Cat is such a wonderful heroine to read. I love what courage and strength she has and what she is willing to do for what she believes in. She has such a fun personality. She can be sweet and fun but also kick ass when the situation warrants it.

Grace wasn’t the easiest heroine, I will be honest. She is far from perfect, but she is real and vulnerable. There are aspects to her character that are beyond endearing! But she is probably the most alpha of MacLean’s heroines.

I adore Amelie and her friends. I love how well she handles being a dominatrix but at the same time fighting for the man she loves in other ways. I love her strength and endearing character.

Harper is a heroine I didn’t expect to love as much as I did. I love her character. She is sassy, fun and can kicks ass when she needs to. She fights for her own, is respectful but strong and invests fully when she commits.

This author knows how to write such fabulous alpha heroines, and this one is by far my favorite. Natalya is just awesome! She is a warrior, has no fear and is willing to do whatever it takes to stand with her people.

If you would like to give me your requests for what type of recs you would like in a recommend it post, I have a link HERE so that I can put them at the top of the line!

So what do you think of my recommendations for Alpha Heroines? What are some of your favorites that I need to add to my TBR? Let me know in the comments below!

I’ve not read any of the ones you’ve shared, but I enjoy coming across an alpha female main character. The first one that comes to my mind is Indigo from the Psy-Changeling series. Total alpha!

I actually had to go and look up this term (found a good article at https://jamigold.com/2015/05/what-is-an-alpha-heroine/). I guess Dani Brown from Take a Hint, Dani Brown fits this trope and Feyre from the ACOTAR books. I am terrible with tropes!

I haven’t read these alpha heroes books, sadly. When I think alpha heroes, I think Aurora Rose Reynolds, Kaylee Ryan, Elizabeth Reyes. I’m sure there are others I’m forgetting.
