Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions: AnyPlay Subscription

Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions is a feature here on Addicted To Romance where there is talk of books, blogging, and reading topics….so come on in and join in on the discussion

So today I would like to bring up something that I am not sure many are aware of, so I am sure some of you may have noticed on my reviews lately putting my source of audiobooks I am entering in “AnyPlay” and so I think you may wonder what that is and why I am using it. Well today I wanted to share this delightful audiobook subscription service. Now AnyPlay is a subscription service that is somewhat similar to what the “Audible Romance Package” used to be.  I am actually confused why this app isn’t getting more attention because its such a good one especially if you love listening to audiobooks. Now why choose it over Audible or Libro.fm or Scribd? Well below are the reasons you should join.

  1. Unlimited Audiobooks- You can access over 200,000 of their library titles. And I am telling you they have a great selection. I personally just know of the romance selection (because that is why I read) but the romance is wonderful and so many new titles especially from publishers Avon and Sourcebooks and Berkley. And you can listen to as many as you want, there are no limitations to it.
  2. Pricing-Its $25 for three months, this is such a GREAT deal. It is cheaper than Audible Plus and has a much better catalog.
  3. New Releases- one of the things I have really loved about this is you get so many good releases even before my library. They will normally appear on the day of the release which is so nice.
  4. Catalog-This catalog carries both traditionally published authors to indie-published authors. So there is something out there for everyone! There are authors from TJ Klune, J.D. Robb, Ruby Dixon, Natasha Madison, Sarah MacLean, Lori Foster, Jill Shalvis, Jennifer Armentrout and so many more!!

The only downside to the app is the fastest speed you can listen with it is 1.75x, which I actually think is the fastest I like to listen to audiobooks but I know some readers prefer it faster. But I like that they keep me from going too fast, I enjoy the audiobooks way more if I listen to it a bit faster.

If you have any more questions place them in the comments below or email me but I am telling you grab up the app and you will have NO regrets I promise.

Feel like checking out their website and learning more about it? Check it out below.

So tell me, do you like audiobooks? Have you tried out Anyplay? Or heard of it? Let me know your thoughts on this discussion below! I would love your thoughts.

  1. I only learned of AnyPlay not too long ago. I love audio books and use both Audible and Overdrive and Hoopla for listening. The speed thing would not bother me since I always listen at regular 1.0X anyway. I don’t get how people listen with it sped up to 2.5 and 3X. People don’t talk like that! LOL I feel like they totally miss out of the nuances of the narration at those speeds. But whatever works, right? 🙂

  2. Yes, that does sound like a great option for an audio subscription. Right now I stay busy with mostly review audios and my own library of neglected listens so I haven’t signed up for any subscriptions yet, but I’m glad to know about this.
