Its the beginning of December, where we see christmas lights everywhere and Christmas tunes every where we go and I just love this time of year. Its so cheerful and happy. And there is so much fun things to go and do so today I wanted to share some books that bring about some good “cheer”. I found this tag originally at Book Snacks.
ON THE FIRST DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE.
The partridge stood alone in the pear tree. What is your favourite stand alone?
There is so much I love about these single titles although I wouldn’t have complained if they had been a part of a series since the worlds these authors created are beyond memorable!! Some of these have been my favorites for years and some books I recently got hooked on. Rivalry is the most recent book I read of these and it was fantastic especially if you love football and rivalries, it gets the culture so right.
ON THE SECOND DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: TWO TURTLE DOVES.
Love is in the air! Who is your one true pairing?
Outlaw Hearts isnt a story that you want to miss out on or the rest of the series that we see the journey this couple goes on. Jake and Miranda are beyond priceless and unforgettable. I love seeing a couple grow together in their lives as these two do, and seeing them raise a family together. So rare to find in romance.
ON THE THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: THREE FRENCH HENS.
In the spirit of threes, what is the best trilogy you have read?
There aren’t too many trilogies I have read and loved as much as these books. In my mind, these books are Banks best works. I just love these brothers and seeing these endearing characters and mix in well with the Scottish culture.
ON THE FOURTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: FOUR CALLING BIRDS.
Since series usually consist of four or more books, what is your favourite series?
I would have to say that the Psy Changeling series is my favorite if I had to choose one which is really hard to choose since I love reading series. But this world that Nalini Singh has created are books, I wish was REAL.
The Psy Changeling series is one of the best I have ever read, and mostly I am in love with this series so much because of the way Singh implements her pack dynamics, I love the closeness of these communities and how affectionate they are with each other and willing to do anything for one another. And seeing how well the mix of dominant and submissive pack members work so well and both have wonderful diverse strengths.
ON THE FIFTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: FIVE GOLDEN RINGS.
One ring to rule them all! Who is your Favorite Villain/Antagonist?
This series is pretty fantastic, but there is one villain in this series that just doesn’t DIE!!! Its Xavier, and is the worst of the worst. And even though his body is gone, remnants of him is still causing problems for the Carpathians.
ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SIX GEESE A LAYING.
Creation is a beautiful thing. What is your favourite world/world-building?
This would be pretty difficult to choose from since I have read some amazing books with great world building. I would say the Tairen Soul series.
ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: SEVEN SWANS A SWIMMING.
Who needs seven swans when all it takes is one good animal sidekick? Who’s your favourite animal sidekick?
ON THE EIGHTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS, MY TRUE LOVE SENT TO ME: EIGHT MAIDS A MILKING.
Milk is so 18th century. Which book or series takes beverages/food to a whole new level?
What a great post! I love the holidays! So many of the books above I’ve read and enjoyed!
YES to MBanks trilogy 😀
Oh my gosh this is soo fun! I need to participate in this tag, too. I love the Maya Banks trilogy. It’s so good, And you know I love Honor’s Splendour!
What a fun tag! I see quite a few books on my tbr list. I need to get busy reading!
Now that was a clever tag. Love your answers, too, Renee. I share so many of those.
This was such a fun tag to read through. I wonder if I’ve got it in me to figure this one out for Book Binge. Wish me luck! Great post, Renee!
