This is a new feature I want to try to do on a more consistent basis, I have actually received such great feedback for this weekly post, so I will be doing this weekly. I am so excited as I always have such great recommendations as I read all over the genre and my hope is that I can share recs that are for all the sub genres if I can! The “Recommend It” feature, is where I will recommend romances based on a certain theme, trope or character type. If you have a trope or theme or character type you want me to put at the top of my list, I have a form that I have created that will just automatically upload into my spreadsheet and I will put it at the top of my list! I feel like as book bloggers, reviewers, readers, we all have great lists to share and this is what I hope I can do for any that want to expand their horizons in the romance genre.

So today the topic/theme/character type I am focusing on is: Summer Feeling reads. As we are getting into July, I am sure many of you like I am are itching for those beachy summer vibe books that will leave you breathless for sandy beaches and sunshine.

Top Pick

This was so atmospheric and one of my favorite books of the year. Karina Halle really wrote such a treasure within this one here. You have Italy setting, single dad, summer vacation delicious chemistry. You just can’t go wrong with this one here. A real keeper.

Such a fun beachy read! Sexy funny pirates, forced marriage, island coastal setting and lots of fun times in the sun and sand.

A sci fi romance out in the stars with lots of intrigue and adventure and some great summer feeling moments. If you are a fan of Jessie Mihalik, this is an author you need to pick up.

Some action in the sea! Lots of danger and intrigue and a heroine obsessed with peanut butter with fated mates and a Russian hero.

What a fun summer feeling read! Its also super witty and just plain enjoyable and lively. Love their chemistry and bantering together.

Absolutely love getting a setting in the pacific northweest, with a small town setting and so much warm summer vibes to get you itching for summer time.

If you love historical romance, then you need to pick this one up. Plus there is a tryst on the beach….what more can you ask for! haha Its light, sexy, and fun.

If you love fantasy romance, then this one needs to be on your list if you haven’t read it yet. Adored how summer feeling this felt, and all the sea like elements to it. The hero is a badass in the water.

This one takes place on the beach!!! Its simply perfection for a summer vibe type of romance. These two are chefs kiss good.

If you love fantasy romance, then here is another rec for you. Absolutely adored this hero and it will definitely satisfy your summer urges.

This was such a delightful story and the WHOLE setting of the book is on the beach! Absolutely adored this book and RaeAnne Thayne definitely knows how to write closed door chemistry and atmospheric vibes.

This book will always have my heart. And get this in audio if you can! Its an inbetween Graphic Audio and regular narration. They literally have beach sounds and sings songs in it. Its stellar. And the whole set up is enjoying the summer at the beach and has great friend connections that come into play.

The reason I chose this one is because they meet at the beach. Its romantic, sexy with some fabulous interactions between these two. Loved every moment.

Fun list! I have only read Dream Lake. Your prompt made me think of J. Daniels’s Alabama Summers series and also Like I Never Said by C.W. Farnsworth. And basically every YA by Morgan Matson, Sarah Dessen, and Kasie West.

I see a few on this list that I have read. I love Kleypas and thought Dream Lake was great. I remember that I enjoyed Inseverable quite a bit and also liked The Sea King, and So I Married a Sorcerer. Great list!
