Best Reads of Spring of 2023

The spring of 2023 has brought some great reads this year, even if my reading had some ups and down at times, but I am so thrilled as I discovered some fabulous gems! This spring was a mix of ups and downs in my reading, so I feel wonderful in that I was able to discover some fabulous books. I hope you all were able to pick up some solid reads this past spring.

Absolutely adored this one! Even though I read it months ago, it still is taking space in my heart and mind. Such a well done interracial romance that talks issues you rarely see even in diverse rep books and I appreciated it as my nephew is mixed and is addressed a stigma that never gets discussed.

This book won my heart! But I mean its J. Daniels but seeing her write a MM romance was so spectacular! Loved everything about this one and its in KU. Highly recommend it but pay attention to the content warnings as it has strong focus on drug addiction/recovery aspects.

One of the more unique historical’s that I have ever read. I loved the whole heroine saving the hero theme. And their connection was so endearing.

This book blew me away! Loved the NA themes and it was also so unique. There is something about this author when she is writing romance that just clicks completely for me.

This is a massive age gap at like 20 years so this won’t work for everyone. I actually loved it and definitely had so many endearing moments to it that seemed to work for me. Excited for her new series.

This was such a interesting one here. I love the way that this author writes and this duet was so beautifully written and it consummed me lol but loved the journey with this couple and it was set in Ireland which was super neat.

This book was brilliant. Its a dark retelling of “Phantom of the Opera” its not a strict retelling, but it was set in New Orleans with Jazz music being the focus instead of opera music, but loved how this was developed and so well done here.

This book is probably my favorite Devney Perry, it just was GOLD! Loved the second chance, the single dad hero and the heroine being strong in her field but also having so many relatable vulnerabilities.

oooh this book blew my mind! Such a precious romance that was simply perfect in every way. I just adored everything about this book. And the ending, probably one of the most memorable endings I have ever read. I also adored the healthy focus on healing, and getting professional help.

If you love sports romances, then this one needs to be on your list here. Its also Basketball too which was a plus as well done basketball romances aren’t common in the genre. Its a well fleshed out story not only on the romance but what it takes to be a professional athlete. And next one up is Baseball and I can’t wait!! haha

Kristen Ashley is one of my favorite authors especially any book that has her classic KA style in it. And the way that she wrote this series was brilliant. I loved seeing how she worked this series and this finale in the trilogy I would say is my favorite of the trilogy.

This I would say is the best bully romance that I have ever read because the way that its written, makes the “bullying” make sense. Penelope Douglas wrote a true gem here.

Yes a second Linda Kage haha but I truly had a blast with this one. Honestly I just love her and I think she is so underrated and appreciated and deserves more love than she receives.

This one blew my mind. I don’t really read historical fiction that much, because I need my romance haha but this one was surprisingly well done and I am eager to read more from this author. I also loved how patriotic this book was and how well researched it was done.
