Blogging News
So this month has been quite crazy and haven’t been able to spend as much time on the blog as I would have liked. I moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and the first couple of weeks were a bit rough. My new boss, not willing to work with what I needed. As far as hours or availability. Then the apartment I moved in was in a very ghetto area, (which I knew was a possibility). So I got two new jobs which has been fun. I found a part time office job (which will turn full time soon) and pays more part time than my full time job so I gave my notice. Then drive for Lyft in the evenings. –Which has been great for getting to know the city. But boy has it been a wild adventure so far. I spent some time yesterday in Fort Worth….and am fairly positive that its the place I will end up living. Plus I had a cup of the BEST coffee I have ever had there, so I just need to live closer hehe Β I just loved the feeling I had there, more more laid back and down to earth. I can’t wait to put my boots on and do some good ole’ two stepping.Β No fun plans for Halloween though, since I can make twice as much if I drive. I have been exploring the local libraries here, and even though I like it, I miss my old library so much. I didn’t have to travel across the city to get one book hehe Yeah its going to take some time to get used to a different process. But for the most part I am loving it here. I was able to meet up with Melissa over at Lily Element Blog, and got to attend a author signing at B&N….and got to talk with some great authors. Jill Shalvis, Codi Gary (love her….she has such a bubbly personality), J.D. Tyler, Emily March, Charis Michaels, D.D. Ayres and a few others!! So fun too meeting a fellow blogger and she is such a sweetheart, and I can’t wait to get to know her more. Now as far as the blog, I have been trying to get as much done as I have been able to. This upcoming month I promise I will be better at commenting, I have been so bad lately. But working three jobs has been no fun. And I haven’t worked out since I got here….driving me nuts. But this is my last week of work and then I will have more downtime for fun and reading. Boy I can’t wait!!! So for the blog this month, a little bit lighter on the reviews and social interaction and boy I have missed you all. I can’t wait to get back in the “saddle” hehe And hope you all had a wonderful month of October.

You’ve definitely had a crazy month! I hope it all settles a bit for you, especially where we’re heading into the busy holiday season. Yay for getting to go to an author signing and meeting a fellow blogger!!! Those are some really great names you mentioned. π
Yeah it has started to settle down a bit and I am really loving it here so much. It has been quite the experience so far. Crossing my fingers everything will be fully worked out in time for the holidays.
Renee, it’s so awesome that you moved. What I mean is that it’s so brave. And you’ve had some unfortunate things happen, but you’ve taken care of them, and that’s awesome. I’m glad you’re liking the new area. I’ve never been to Texas.
haha honestly Quinn…I don’t feel brave at all. Its been quite an adventure that is for sure, and I am learning so much too. But yeah some bad things have happened, and you know its okay…I am still alive, working hard and starting to have some fun and was lucky enough to meet a fellow blogger!!! So fun. I really am liking it here though so far, and I can’t wait to explore more of the state. Hope you have a great month of November.
You sound like you’re having a great time exploring your new area. I hope you get to move to Fort Worth soon. A good cup of coffee is reason enough to move…I think. π That’s awesome that you’re driving for Lyft too, what a great way to get to know your new area. I hope things work out with your jobs.
I love The Score and Allegiance of Honor. Such great reads!
Have a lovely November, Renee!
oh Rowena!!!! Yes at first I was so so overwhelmed but driving around part time has really really helped me out. It is a great reason to move to a place….I think especially when its not that far away. Weren’t the Score and Allegiance of Honor so good?
I’m so glad we got to meet and that your job situation is looking better. Can’t wait to meet up again π Fort Worth is pretty awesome, I hope you love it when you wind up moving there <3
Oh and I’m back from the wedding!!
Oh yes I had a blast getting together with you and can’t wait to do it again. I had so much fun in Fort Worth this past weekend. And YAY for being back from the wedding? How did it go? I hope you share pics!!!
I’m debating if I want to share them on the blog or just on my personal Facebook π It went great!! We had a great time and everything went smoothly.
I’m so glad you found an area you enjoy π It’s hard moving to a new to you city without any knowledge of it. When do you wind up getting full time permanent at the new place? We need to catch up!! I want details haha
Hey, appreciate the update on how you’re settling in. Neat that you’ve figured out where you want to live and are getting your jobs sorted. Fun that you met a fellow blogger and got so meet several authors. Hopefully, once you’ve moved to Ft. Worth you’ll get used to the branch of the library near you.
You read some good ones this month. I added two of those to my wish list after reviews.
Have a good month!
Thanks Sophia!!! Yeah I finally feel like things are starting to settle down for me a bit and beginning to have fun. Yeah it was pretty awesome meeting her and fun that we are so close to each other. I don’t know about Fort Worth’s library yet…but eager to see what they have. Hope you have a wonderful November and holiday.
It can be rough adjusting a new area and must suck when the job doesn’t go as planned.
Texas has a really active reader/blogger community so I’m sure that will be fun for you once you get settled.

I hope Nov will be good for ya
Moving is always an adjustment but it sounds like things are settling in with where you want to live and a new job so that’s good! Plus all the signings/book stuff sounds really great. Never underestimate good coffee!!
woot for finding a better job, it sounds like it made the move worth it. I am glad to hear that things are looking up for you. Best coffee, bah now I want some
Moving is always stressful, I hope you can find a nice place to live soon. And congrats on the new job! That’s awesome you got to meet up with another blogger and meet some authors. I hope November will be a good month for you!
Oh my, definitely did sound like quite the month! I’m glad things are starting to work out!!
And it looks like you read some awesome books! I need to read the Score still..eep. Have a fantastic November!
Wow, it sounds like you had an intense month. Moving is never easier and all the other things going on didn’t make it any easier. :/ But it looks like you had a decent month in reading! I didn’t like Sparking the Fire, but I love Meader’s Brazen books. I liked The Deal a lot but haven’t continued with the series… I’m content with that though. π
I hope you have a wonderful November!

Oh my, it sounds like October was tough with a lot of changes, Renee! And even if you’ll have some more changes in November, they may be much more positive, and quite fun. Of course it’s a must to be living closer to a coffee shop with great coffee π
Enjoy your weekend and happy reading!
