About The Book

Demons so deep they destroy us…

Every part of Adrian Ivanov is pure, unable to ignore, male virility. He’s arrogant. Protective. Sweet and intensely attentive. On rare occasions, outright vicious.
If only his soul weren’t tortured over who he is and what he has become. It makes him hide it all from me, proclaiming the truth will ruin us. No matter how much I insist anything he confesses won’t deter my heart, his ghosts won’t allow him.
But they aren’t apparitions. The present collides with the past in a dangerous and twisted game he doesn’t even know he’s a pawn in. It causes everything in our future to remain in jeopardy.
There’s a choice, yet nothing hard in life comes without consequences.
He’s my vicious protector…

”Vicious Protector” is the jaw-dropping fourth installment of the “Mafia Wars” series. It’s an interconnecting, stand-alone Dark Mafia Romance, guaranteed to have an HEA.

My Review

Vicious Protector is the fourth book in the Mafia Wars series and I was more than ready to get back into this series. I have really enjoyed the first three books and its really the next two I was super eager to explore. If you love the mafia, and if you haven’t read this series yet, its a definite must. Maggie Cole is brilliant in her world-building and it works so well that even non mafia fans can get behind it and enjoy it especially if you love aspects of suspense and mystery. In this story we basically have the setup of where our hero Adrian and our heroine Skyler, and seeing when they first met and where tensions really started to build for them. I have been wanting Adrian’s story from the very beginning. I do like that the first six books are all surrounded by similar events and you can jump in if you like. So we do get to see similar events from the past few books but see it from Adrian and Skyler’s perspectives. Their romance is fiery hot and that is all I can say. haha They definitely are both stubborn and opinionated individuals which cause both good and bad in their relationship. I really admired the way that they work through their issues and don’t give up on each other.

This book I will be honest was a bit of a struggle for me in the first half. I don’t know if it was just me or what, but I had the most difficult time getting into it and I just wanted more from this one. I also felt that these two needed to get their heads together, because while their story is beautiful; it could have been way less stressful if they had just admitted what they were feeling for one another and not let ego get in the way as it often does with these two, I did admire Adrian even if he was too stubborn at times. I didn’t like the way he kept pushing Skler away, it just got too much at times and I just wanted to shake him. But I did love that Skyler keeps pushing and standing her ground even when it hurts. So while this won’t be a favorite of the series, I found it to be a solid addition to the series and it definitely had me eager for his brother’s book!!

About The Book

Wanting anything resembling what I had should suffocate me.

Meeting my neighbor, Obrecht Ivanov, confuses me. The moment he walks through my door, I desperately want him to command me to kneel. I swore I would never return to anything like life with my ex-husband. So why do I feel as if I can’t breathe?
Each passing day that I don’t cave into my desires, the tension in my soul exponentially tightens. I convince myself to go take care of it and stop the itch once and for all. Just one time and then I’ll be fine.
It’s bad enough my ex-husband is doing everything in his power to find me. The choice I make puts me in a dangerous and vulnerable position. It’s a good thing Obrecht is always watching me.
He’s my savage tracker…

”Savage Tracker” is the jaw-dropping fifth installment of the “Mafia Wars” series. It’s an interconnecting, stand-alone Dark Mafia Romance, guaranteed to have an HEA. Please note this contains scenes and topics that may be uncomfortable for some readers.

My Review

Savage Tracker is the book that I have been the MOST excited for!! This one has been so recommended and just so hyped that while I was nervous to jump into this one I was also very excited. I was really looking forward to this one because it has a “BDSM as healing” theme and I love this theme and I don’t see it enough in books and if it has BDSM then I want to see this aspect in it more. I was so impressed with this book. This story was magnificent and I was completely drawn into the story from the first page. I just wanted so much for these two to find their way together and my emotions were all over the place with this one here. And it was very obvious that Maggie Cole had done her research on this one, especially with what surrounds the BDSM community and culture. Our heroine has been abused by her husband in a nonconsensual “Master/Slave” relationship. She has now divorced her husband when she meets Obrecht who helps her replace her faucet. Sienna has a need that she needs to fulfill but is scared to do it at the same time. When she meets Obrecht at a sex club, their relationship turns into something deeper as they explore the safe side to the BDSM world, and Obrecht is dominant but determined to show Sienna the beautiful side to being in a BDSM relationship and that abuse is not what it is about.

As you see our heroine go through this journey of self-discovery, you see such intimacy grow between them. There is a level of sweetness that is captivating and I was cheering these two on all the way through their relationship!! I really enjoyed seeing where the plot is built up and poor poor Liam…..his friends are just not understanding him so I will be jumping straight into his book next. I was really intrigued by the growth of the romance, and the world-building, and Maggie Cole has become a favorite Mafia author. I really adored the way that these two just immediately captivated me and seeing them on this journey of what was right for them and the BDSM scenes were on point a very well blend of spice and heart. I highly recommend this one if BDSM as healing is your catnip as it is mine.
