Throwback Thursday (79) Historical Romance Edition: The Husband List

Throwback Thursday is a new meme hosted by Buried Under Romance and Love
Saves The World, and since I just love Historical Romance I decided to

What Is Throwback Thursday? Traditionally, Throwback Thursday celebrates
nostalgia, asking participants to post a personal photo or image from
their past–usually from 5 to 10 years ago. There are a lot of book
blogs that also do a book related Throwback Thursday.

Here Are The Rules: 1. It must be posted on a Thursday. 2. It must be a
historical romance novel published before October 3, 2008

My Candidate For The Week

the Husband ListAn Unexpected Husband

Against her better judgment, Lady Gillian Marley needs to find herself a husband–and quickly. To claim her uncle’s unexpected bequest she must marry by her next birthday, which leaves only two months to find a malleable mate. Topping her list of eligible candidates is the honorable Earl of Shelbrooke, yet one look at the very handsome but enigmatic nobleman and Gillian knows that cajoling him into a marriage of convenience will be hardly convenient at all.

A Marriage of Inconvenience

Far from immune to Gillian’s entrancing charms, the last thing Richard Shelton is about to bind himself into is a chaste marriage. Though the inheritance is more than and tempting, Richard knows the lady herself is the real prize and isn’t about to allow Gillian to deny the burning fervor that sparks between them. Now he has only two months to convince her to be his wife in full … before his mysterious secret is revealed and their lives explode irrevocably into scandal.

Why Husband List? Because this is one entertaining romance, its quirky and fun, from beginning to end you are guaranteed to have a blast. Definitely need to re read it one of these days.

  1. Oh, I haven’t read this one, but I am a fan of Victoria Alexander. Thanks for the suggestion! PS Have you read His Mistress by Christmas? Love that one!

  2. I’ve only read one Victoria Alexander book, but liked it. I just started a Scribd account and there are tons of Alexander romances on there so I’m excited to finally get caught up on her backlist. Thanks for sharing!
