The last thing Vaughan Hewson expects to find when he returns to his childhood home is a broken hearted bride in his shower, let alone the drama and chaos that comes with her.
Lydia Green doesn't know whether to burn down the church or sit and cry in a corner. Discovering the love of your life is having an affair on your wedding day is bad enough. Finding out it's with his best man is another thing all together. She narrowly escapes tying the knot and meets Vaughan only hours later.
Vaughan is the exact opposite of the picture perfect, respected businessman she thought she'd marry. This former musician-turned-bartender is rough around the edges and unsettled. But she already tried Mr. Right and discovered he's all wrong-maybe it's time to give Mr. Right Now a chance.
After all, what's wrong with getting dirty?
Dirty, is the newest and latest novel of a new series which is mildly connected to her Stage Dive Series. Its sets off when our heroine finds out that her fiancee, on her wedding day is very much gay and has been hiding it from her and everyone else has too especially his parents. So in desperation she sneaks out the bathroom window and into the neighbors bathtub and to be found by the owner of the house “Vaughan”. Vaughan has come home out of necessity but then he meets this sassy lady and decides to stay a little bit longer and work at his sisters bar. I really had a blast with this couple so much. We get some fun smexy times between them, their chemistry is pipping hot, but I also loved the way they interacted on a human level. The heroine struggles quite a bit here, and Vaughan is the perfect hero to help her out. We are also introduced to some new characters (and man I can’t wait for future books especially with Vaughan’s sister) and a visit with some old characters which were quite amusing. It was quite interesting to see how this story played out which was different from what I expected. Dirty is a story that has you fully engaged from the beginning, I read this in one sitting and loved the romance and the new characters and some fun and lively scenes that had me laughing way more than I expected. So If you are a fan of Kylie Scott or heartwarming contemporary romances…then pick this one up.
So glad you liked this one too! 🙂
oh I had a blast with it!! She is such a fun author to read right??
Never read this author before. Nice review!
Dirty…fitting 😉
Oh, gosh. Is this a new one? I’ve enjoyed a few of her books in the past. Must read!
I’ve never read Kylie Scott before but I’ve been meaning too. This sounds like a perfect place to start. Can you imagine finding someone bawling their eyes out in your bathtub? Haha.
I’m still playing catch up on her Stage Dive series but I SO want to start reading this right now. 🙂 I love how she writes hot & sexy stories that still have a good plot and nice emotional depth. Great review!
