Welcome to the second post of the Elite Romance series of 2023. This post is where I am going to list my TOP reads of the year, which wasn’t easy to narrow down. I have had a decent reading year and I am thrilled to be able to share all the delicious reads that I have here. These reads will be taken from December 2022 to November 2023. I feel like this is the best way to feature those books so that the books in December don’t get overlooked. And once it hits January, my focus will be the new year which is why I like to do it in December when I tend to do more reflecting on the past year.
So for today’s topic, this is top BOOK BOYFRIENDS! This is the heroes that are the TOP of your list that made you swoon, or you can see marrying if they were for real! These are the type of heroes that cross off all the boxes for you to captivate you. Doesn’t mean they are perfect, just means that they work in all the right ways. So below I have my list of Book Boyfriends that were the most memorable for me.
Dom Davenport
This hero was delicious. He does everything to provide a good life for his wife, who has been by his side from the beginning when they were poor as church mice.
Dom
I absolutely loved this one. Dom is the type of hero that is possessive and can be controlling, but is protective and will sacrifice anything for his loved ones.
William Lockhart
William is a spy and protector and has a heart of gold and love his passionate caring nature that comes natural to him.
Cowboy Whiskey
Cowboy is a man that knows how to deal with those dealing with trauma. He has compassion and a kind heart but will be a badass protector when its needed and he takes action when others won’t.
Brody O’Connor
Brody is the hero who will sacrifice anything for the woman that he loves. He has loyalty and devotion that goes beyond family for his lady and so swoonworthy!
Ryan Shay
I absolutely loved this hero so deeply. He goes through all the love languages for our heroine. Its full of depth and heart.
Luca
Luca is full of wealthy and pride but he also is creative, strong and capable and humble when love hits him. Love what he does for our heroine and how much he gives to the relationship.
Brando
What a dreamboat this hero is. I love how invested he is in the relationship and will sacrifice so much for the good for Scarlett. Even when it causes him pain and heartache, he is willing to do so much for her.
Armani De Santis
Armani was such a wonderful hero and might just be my favorite of the heroes that this author has ever written. While he isn’t perfect, how he treats the heroine when their relationship begins is perfection. He was such a steady rock for her who really needed that stability.
Jax Turley
Jax is a true gem and honestly this author just writes the best heroes. they are full on green flags. I love how he “sees” the heroine and is so steadfast and loyal to her and what he is willing to do for her is beauiful.
Cain Hale
What a wonderful hero Cain is. He is my favorite of the series here and definitely reaches the top for Cowles heroes. There was just something so much more to him that I just clicked with. I love how character and the sense of strong integrity he has and how touching he is with Kennedy.
Lorcan St. Leger
This is a morally grey hero that I love most in reading HR. This man was delicious. He is basically the pirate lord of the London docks and I just wanted to gobble him up. He is so protective of the heroine and caring and attentive to you—he even peels her favorite fruit for her.
Theo Silva
You can’t go wrong with Theo. He is a sexy bull rider but also a kind and caring person. He is so humble in many ways and a team player. I just love the way he is with Winter and when we see the type of father that he is…huge green flag!!
Yakov Stephyrev
Absolutely adored this hero here. He was delicious and of course he is part of the bear clans so you just know he is a dreamboat, playful and packed with steady emotion that will fight for his girl. He is a badass but packed with heart.
Hugh Redvers
A damaged hero that is packed with sexy pirate vibes, alphamellow personality and delightful character growth that you love his journey that this author takes you on that matches so flawlessly with the tone of the story building.
Wick Webster
So Wick is a pure delight. He is a man that has such a generous heart. I deeply loved him. He was so attentive and strong and was willing to be firm with the heroine when she was going crazy on some of her revenge decisions haha
Stellan
Well then ….this man is one of the best heroes from this author. I just loved Stellan so deeply. He is willing to do what it takes for Stixx. He sees what she needs more than she even realizes and recognizes her beauty inside and out.
Tracker Calloway
Tracker is the type of hero you want by your side when your life is in danger. He definitely knows how to treat a woman well in the bedroom and is smart and capable in every aspect. He is a solid protector and will change if its needed.
Ramses, the Dark King
What a hero this lead turned out to be! I absolutely adored him and just might be my favorite hero from Aja that I have read so far. He is sexy, alpha but what a protector and connects with the heroine in ways that truly matters the most. Love how he “sees” her and he is so commanding. Love it.
Colton Gamble
This hero is just like Ten in some ways, but in other ways a bit different. What I love about him is his confidence and his fighting personality to support his girl when there are so many factors against him. Love that he doesn’t get discouraged to fight for who they are especially with the hate he receives in this story. Love that inner strength and true masculinity we see from him.
Benedict Chatham
This man is delicious! He is such a bad boy rake and have such charm to him but also vulnerabilities to him that are so well focused and developed throughout the story. This was my first hero from this author and I just adored him so deeply. Elisa Braden definitely knows how to write her characters.
Warlord Darios
This hero is truly superb in every way. A leader of his people and willing to stand up when its needed. He is not afraid of the heroine or her powers. He has powers of his own. He is very reminiscent of Johanna Lindsey’s heroes in some aspects, but with more consent in it. But love his spanking punishments haha I know that won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but the heroine is a bit of a brat and destroys his home so its a little justified. lol
Archer Hale
Archer is the perfect hero. He has so many sweet vulnerabilities but at the same time such a beautiful heart which you are instantly captivated with. There is something about his character that just completely stuns you from your first meeting with him. This author wrote a stunning character that will be more than memorable for years to come.
Landon Atwater
Oh this challenging man! haha But you love him anyway. I absolutely adored everything about this one. And it was so fascinating to see his character because he is completely different from her psychopaths. He is just troubled, and never really overcame trauma. And he brings in so many delectable surprises where you least expect it. Definitely one I plan on doing a reread soon.

haha yeah they aren’t for everyone. For me its just a term I use to nickname the male leads. And its what many readers relate to. Just think of it like just a list of my favorite male leads. But I had so many this year! Love that we have some in common! 🙂

I don’t know how people choose. I always seem to like the heroes in romance books.
Its definitely not easy, but this list is the heroes that made the largest impact or were the most memorable from the year. I enjoy most heroes that are written in romance.
