Elite of Hidden Gems of 2022

by | Dec 27, 2022 | End of Year Survey | 4 comments

Welcome to the next segment of the Elite Romance series of 2022.  This post is where I am going to list my TOP reads of the year, which wasn’t easy to narrow down. I have had a decent reading year and I am thrilled to be able to share all the delicious reads that I have here.

For this segment, I am going to share all the hidden gems that I have discovered over the past year. These are the books that I never expected to be so good and ended up being so superb in my reading of them.

I had such a blast with this book and it was better than I expected it to be considering when this was written. But such a delightful rom com that just ticked off all the boxes for me.

This book and really the whole series was such a shock to me. It BLEW me away. Super engaging, wonderfully crafted world building and endearing characters to root for.

This book was so much better than I was expected. I get nervous around hyped books but this one is SO worth the hype! Definitely delightful.

This book took bookgtagram and booktube by storm and I was curious about it. So I picked it up and it was AMAZING. I don’t really do much in monster romance, but this one changed my mind on being more open to it.

I absolutely adored this menage, it was so so wonderful. Absolutely adored it in every way. So fast paced and such a quick entertaining PNR.

These books completely changed me this year! I can’t tell you how much they need more love. Simply fantastic in every way. BEST Samantha Young I have read to date.

I have really struggled with HR in recent years, but this book was so amazing and only .99 cents. It was so captivating and just drew me in so completely.

I was nervous about this one, but this one was superb. It was hilarious, perfect retelling and just worked completely. Tara Sivec wrote a winner with this one here.

J. Kenner is an author I have been wanting to read much more of, and this one really showcased why that is. I absolutely adored this one here so much. So much better than I remember loving J.Kenner and can’t wait to explore more of her books next year.

This one was such a suprise to me in how much I loved it. Prickly heroines I don’t normally go for, but this heroine’s book was the BEST of the series so far for me. I am not sure if it was the narration or the story itself, but it was just perfect.

This is by far such a shocker for me to read this year. I love Tillie Cole, but sometimes her books can be a hit or miss but this one is hands down her best mafia. LOVED IT!

This was my first full length novel by this author, as I had only read a holiday novella before this one, and WOW this reconcilation romance was just right. It worked so well and It showed me what military romance should be in a story.

This book has been all over the romance community and I adored it in every way! It’s definitely worthy of all the hype that surrounds it. If you are a fan of Kerrigan Byrne, then you MUST read this book.

This book shocked me in how much I loved it and how lately I have been drawn to the more unique retelling. The author handled this perfectly and was such a delight. I need more Hansel and Gretel retellings.

And to finish this post off, nothing better than a KA. This book was magical and endearing and had me in tears from beginning to end, both heartfelt and happy ones. The author really worked my emotions on this one and it was worth it!

I liked that Sivec series. It was a bit raunchy but lots of fun.

Anna Hacket and Jessica Scott’s books caught me by surprise the first time I read one. I love that Mary Balogh series, too.
