In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…
Some things you just believe in, even if you've never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It's out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she's got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph's eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.
Nick's self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he's knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she's building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can't walk away. Not when she's the only one who's ever made him wish for forever . . .
In Forever With You, we have a unique story that I wasn’t expecting. So my review is going to be slightly shorter and be a bit different so I don’t give any spoilers away of the ending!! so *crossing my fingers*. In this story we have two people, that are just looking for a one night stand…nothing complicated or involved just reacting on the chemistry they feel for each other. Stephanie has recently moved into town, and started a new job. She isn’t looking for anything serious. But when she steps into Mona’s…her life changes. After sharing a passionate night together, Stephanie wasn’t sure where they stood. She was fine with it being just a one night stand. But then they become friends but some shocking news happens—she finds herself pregnant even though they used protection but their luck wasn’t good for them that night. Stephanie and Nick begin anew with each other, and act on what their hearts tell them.
Now Forever With You was a shocker for me—-an accidental pregnancy…not the normal for a contemporary. I think its been a long long while since I have read one of these set ups. And this author did a fantastic job with it. Now some of you may be a little nervous about the whole accidental baby theme but I really liked it. I did like how it shows that even when you are careful when having sex, mistakes happens and its not 100% guaranteed. And these two go through a shock of their lives. But having this change of circumstances is what brings them closer. And man I loved seeing these two grow together and become excited to be parents all the while slowly falling in love with each other. The only issue I had with this book, was the heroine. Toward the end, she makes mistakes and I had a hard time understanding her reasoning for what she does. However, this story gave me some laughs and evoked some teary eyed sessions. Definitely, a great addition to the series and I can’t wait for Brock’s story later this year!! 🙂
With that unexpected pregnancy and all her hormones going cray, I expect her to be a hot mess at some point.
Wow, yeah, that would rattle an already difficult situation. Glad he kept trying to be with her even when she was pushing him away.
Those harlequines are filled with pregnanancies , but other books..nope it has been quite some time since I came across one
I should try her contemporaries. I have read some of her paranormal. Accidental pregnancies can be tricky. I admire how he kept trying despite her pushing.
Need to read her books @_@ I’m trying to think if I’ve read a book w/ an accidental pregnancy. Nothing is coming to mind hmmm
I am a little hesitant with the accidental baby theme, so I’m glad to hear that you really liked this. It isn’t my favorite trope out there, but I can’t say I hate that trope either.
I hate the OOPs pregnancy so definitely won’t be reading this one but glad you have liked this series. Great review!
I haven’t read this series. I’ve always meant to…
Great review! I loved this story a lot more than I thought I would after ‘meeting’ Stephanie in previous books. I’m with you on the accidental pregnancy part. The author handled it perfectly. (As she does with any tough situation she throws her characters into.)
