This review may contain spoilers, so fair warning, upon reading the review.

About The Book

When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.

Archer’s Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

My Review

First Impressions

I will be honest in that I don’t think that there is anything that I could ever say in this review that could ever bring this story to true justice. This book was so overwhelming but in good ways. I was so easily caught up in this beautiful storytelling of this powerful romance. I will be honest in that I am wishing I hadn’t taken so long to read this one but at the same time I felt like I read this one right at the perfect time. There is so much I want to say about this one. I would first like to say that this is a story that you will easily fall head over heels in love with and will easily capture your heart!

The Main Protagonists

The Hero: Archer Hale
Archer is a silent brooding mute male, that lives in seclusion in a small Maine town on the coast. He suffered trauma as a child, and still is working through his past. He is a strong silent hero that will capture your attention from the first meeting

The Heroine: Bree Prescott
Bree is on the run of sorts. After she suffered from a assault and losing her father she needed time and space away from everything that she knew. She goes on a drive and ends up in a small town in coastal Maine, and finds a promise of peace and healing in the place she least expected to find it.

Summary

When Bree Prescott arives to Pelion, Maine she is suffering from regular nightmares and unable to find any peace from her recent trauma and she finds a promise of peace in a moment with a dandelion. She stumbles into a sexy silent brooding stranger whose eyes hold her attention and captivates her. What starts out as a slow building friendship turns into a fierce captivating love between Bree and Archer Hale. Archer is a practical outcast in the town, he is mute and has a painful past he would much rather forget but then he has to face his demons when he falls hard for this beautiful stranger whose kind smile and compassionate heart makes him believe in love and life again. But there are demons that Archer and Bree will need to face before they can embrace the beautiful horizon that is in store for them…

What I Loved

I have NO words for Archer’s Voice I absolutely adored everything that this book delivered and more. No wonder its on all the favorite’s list, its so well deserved and more! I was completely captivated from the beginning by this story. At first I was like oh this seems like a sweet story but with each chapter I became more and more captivated by it and I just didn’t want to put this masterpiece down. My heart will always be with Archer and Bree and their beautiful romance that just had my emotions all over the place.

From the beginning you sense how intense their relationship is but the way that the author built the story was just right. The character growth was so flawless and just fit so right with their personalities. Its not often that I can say I loved the heroine 100%, but in this book, yeah she was just right. I related so much with her, but the way in which she treats Archer was so healthy in many ways. I love a non toxic heroine and she had such a honest portrayal of what a heroine should be. And we need more heroines written like this one in this story. Bree was just what Archer needed to bring him out of his shell and start to believe in himself and what he is capable of.

Now the hero, Archer Hale, will always have my heart from this moment on! There was something so beautiful in his character. His honesty was so refreshing and his personal growth was so electrifying in so many ways. As a reader, you just get a glimpse of his potential and what he is capable of, and seeing him grow, learn and adapt was such a wonder. He is literally one of the book boyfriends of world wonders of the romance world!

The romance between Archer and Bree was absolute perfection! The growth in the relationship and how they slowly grow together just felt just right in every way. Its that dream relationship that you hope to have with your partner one day. Mia Sheridan wrote such a story that portrayed all the wonderful aspects of a romantic relationship that fit just right in every way. Not saying that Archer or Bree are perfect, but they grow together and have open honest intentions towards each other but are also willing to admit when they make mistakes, willing to listen to each other without judgment and move on together as a team. Seeing they build their relationship as a true partnership was a remarkable experience and I felt so humbled throughout the reading of this one.

The only downside to the book is the paperback cover. While it does relate to the story in a very real way, I much prefer the other sexy one haha

Overall View

Archer’s Voice is a captivating journey of the hope of the future, the development of healing one’s heart and the growth in embracing your journey in life, and the power that love has to make all the difference! ABSOLUTELY A TREASURE OF A ROMANCE!

You know I went and looked at the cover. I feel like Sheridan’s recent covers had flowers. I have put this book off for years. I got it back in 2015, but I kept hearing how sad it was. Did you cry?

Yeah, the updated cover or at least the print one has a dandelion on it. But I like the sexy cover more lol So I put both in the post as readers will recognize both as they are both iconic. I honestly think you would love it. It did make me cry, but it was more because it was heartfelt and endearing and just deep feeling over being sad. Its not really sad though.

I’ve been hearing raves about this book for ages, and while it’s not typically something I’d pick up, your review definitely piqued my interest! I don’t think I ever actually read the synopsis, so learning more about it intrigued me for sure. It sounds really emotional, a bit heavy, but also full of wonderful romance and storytelling. I may have to read it in the near future!

Yeah this one was amazing, it just blew me away. I definitely think it would be a story you would love. It is emotional but very endearing. It just captures your emotions on a deeper level if that makes sense. But honestly this book was just perfection as a whole.

Squeeee!!! I’m so glad you loved it, Renee! It’s been several years since I read it and reading your review absolutely makes me want to do a reread. I need to anyway, since Sheridan released Travis’s story. I want to read that one but I need to refresh my memory on all the details. Archer is such a precious character. A forever favorite.
