A thousand years ago, a brutal warrior roamed the Russian steppes and struck a sinister bargain. In return for the ability to change at will into a coldhearted predator, Konstantine promised his soul—and the soul of his descendents—to the devil.
Then one day a dangerous prophecy reveals the truth: One family has been chosen to battle the darkness—or face damnation.
Ann Smith loves her dynamic boss, Jasha Wilder, but her daring plan to seduce him goes awry when she encounters a powerful wolf who, before her horrified eyes, changes into the man she adores. She soon discovers that she can’t escape her destiny, for Jasha is Konstantine’s descendant, and Ann is the woman fated to break the curse that binds his soul.
Why Scent of Darkness?
This is the first book to a wonderful PNR series by Dodd. I had mostly read historical from her, but I love what she did with this series and Scent of Darkness was simply amazing to read. Loved the Wilder family, and this pair had great facets to their relationship. So much mystery, magical elements, suspense and romance. I guarantee that you pick this up and you won’t want to put it down until you finish it. Christina Dodd is one crafty writer.
I do love a good PNR and its been awhile ….I am going to add to my wishlist. Thanks for sharing all of these great recs.
I don’t think I’ve read anything by her and I’m starting to dip back into PNR a little. *adds to list*
Karen @For What It’s Worth
I love a good PNR, I will have to check this out. Thanks for the heads up.
I have not read PNR in a while, which is annoying considering its the genre I grew up loving books on /sigh will need to fix that quick
It does sound good. I like fated destinies and cursed bloodlines and all that.
I haven’t read any books by Dodd, neither her historical nor her PNR. It’s always good to know which authors end up being favorites from bloggers with whom I have some good books in common with, though.
Thanks for sharing, Renee 🙂
