Author Tributes

We have had some wonderfully talented authors pass away and I wanted to do a showcase of these wonderful women and how they touched so many.

Johanna Lindsey, the most lovely author that impacted the hearts and minds of millions of romance readers past away on October 27 2019 while in an effort to fight off stage 4 of lung cancer.

The news of her passing didn’t reach the community until December and broke many of our hearts. She was one of the most influential and lovely writers of our day and she will be deeply missed.

“The magic is real, people; as real as the sunrise, the ebb and flow of the tides, the haunted call of a loon, that unseen fish tugging on the end of a line, the birth of a baby, the death of a loved one. The problem, in my opinion, is that these things seem so everyday ordinary that we forget how extraordinary they are

Miranda Neville has always been a major part of the romance novel industry for many years and I have had such a pleasure reading her, I have been reading her. and I have so much admiration for this beloved author. Now I find it very unfortunate that I never had the opportunity to actually meet this lady. She has such wit and grace and such a kind heart.

January  Book Recommendation

Ox was twelve when his daddy taught him a very valuable lesson. He said that Ox wasn’t worth anything and people would never understand him. Then he left.

Ox was sixteen when he met the boy on the road, the boy who talked and talked and talked. Ox found out later the boy hadn’t spoken in almost two years before that day, and that the boy belonged to a family who had moved into the house at the end of the lane.

Ox was seventeen when he found out the boy’s secret, and it painted the world around him in colors of red and orange and violet, of Alpha and Beta and Omega.

Ox was twenty-three when murder came to town and tore a hole in his head and heart. The boy chased after the monster with revenge in his bloodred eyes, leaving Ox behind to pick up the pieces.

It’s been three years since that fateful day—and the boy is back. Except now he’s a man, and Ox can no longer ignore the song that howls between them.
