So this week was kinda interesting as I experienced something new….I got put into instagram jail lol Apparently liking too many posts will land you there so I will be there till the end of the month. First time EVER! haha I am realizing how much i use it lol If many of you don’t know, the romance book community is massive there. I can’t believe how much it has grown in the past few years. As far as my reading and blogging, I did endeavor to do close to a post a day, And my reading was solid, not as great as I was expecting. I finished binge watching Alias. Apparently I couldn’t put it down but finally finished it off on Tuesday. And now I am going on hiatus from any TV or movies unless its at the theatre. I have really missed reading the past couple of months where I have watched more than I normally do and this week just getting back into reading has made me realize how much I just love to relax with a book. But it still was better than I expected considering I only had Wednesday through Saturday I read books and I got to 8 books! And now I am in this zone where I just want to read ALL the time. I was really GREAT about meal tracking. I mostly just use the WW app to meal plan mostly. I just do different small meals for a week and rotate the days around every week and each month I switch up my meal plan and even eat healthy enough to mix in some deserts.
Bookish Posts and Books Read of Week of January 22 through January 28th
This was a great reading week even if I didn’t get to as many books as I had planned on. However, I did get to my romanceopoly picks and read some great finds! At current count from when this post will go up I am at 8 books!
(All my books read and their reviews are on Goodreads, I have linked for you)
Book Read-The Devil Is a Marquess by Elisa Braden–Rating 4 Stars—I actually really enjoyed this one. It had a great redemption arc. And the heroine was amazing, not too independent and feminine and supportive of the hero. Loved her so much. If you are struggling with newer historicals and the heroines, you definitely need to give Elisa Braden a shot.
Book Read-The Last Chance Cafe by Linda Lael Miller—Rating 4 Stars—This was a Romanceopoly pick. I had a blast with this old school contemporary romance as it was published it 2003. It has been so long since I read a contemporary published that far back and it was amazing with good amounts of suspense.
Book Read-The Fine Print by Lauren Asher—Rating 5 Stars—-This is a favorite of the year! What a great romantic comedy. I know technically its probably more contemporary romance, but it had me laughing ALL over the place, like every paragraph. The witty banter was phenomenal and is such a sexy charming romance. Its definitely worth the hype.
Book Read—Teach Me The Ropes by Vanessa Vale—Rating 3.5 Stars—-This was a solid read, but could have used more page time. I do like how Vanessa Vale writes steam though and this was a great cowboy romance.
Book Read-Hacking Mr Ceo by Anna Hackett—-Rating 4 Stars—-oh boy did I LOVE this one. It was such a blast. The chemistry and bantering was delicious and loved the danger aspect. And I mean they are both nerds haha and seeing them obsess over computers was so funny yet sexy.
Book Read-Hidden Truths by Neva Alta J-—Rating 5 Stars—-This is such an infectious adorable mafia romance. It deals with some mental illness that is well represented and I love how diverse it is as well. Its one of the things I love most about this one. I also adore the way this couple is with each other. And its just super funny, that is rare for a mafia romance so I find it super refreshing.

My Current Audiobook is the Beth Kery “Make Me”, I am absolutely excited. I have been wanting to explore this author much more. Then Its been forever since I picked up a Gayle Callen and want to get through her backlist plus the cover is gorgeous. I only have a few more days to read the Rosanne Bittner, so definitely want to get to this one, and I hear its one of her best books. Then we have a sci fi romance with Claimed, and this should be interesting. Finally, I have The Maiden and Her Knight. This is a buddy read from a instagram friend. We both have been wanting to explore older historicals.

My Weekly TBR
These are books that I have a rough TBR for, I normally don’t like a super strict TBR as I tend to be a mood reader, so I might get to these books but depending on my mood, I might not get to all of them, but I will endeavor to try with these. I have such a great mix of contemporary, paranormal, suspense, and fantasy! Going to be a great week!
New Additions to A&R
Autumn Chills in Utah Springs by RaeAnne Thayne
Grave Vengeance by Lori Sjoberg
Dark Tempest by Manda Benson
You get jailed for liking too many things? That’s kind of nuts. I watched Alias back in the day when it was on, but haven’t seen it in years.
Being thrown in insta jail is a nightmare Renee! I always try not to like more than 50 posts per hour and I am in no engagement groups either. As you said, the romance community exploded there! I hope you’ll soon be free.
I didn’t even know Instagram had jail like Facebook does! Interesting! You got a lot of good books listed here. I hope you enjoy the ones you get to this week.

Terms and Conditions sounds like a great book; I love the cover. Hope you enjoy reading this week! And insta-jail is a nightmare. 🙁
I love IG! Thankfully I haven’t been in jail for longer than a day. Have a great week!
I’ve been giving a warning and blocked for a day or so on Insta but I’ve never been fully in jail! What an annoyance… I’m just starting to work on Instagram and I’m almost overwhelmed by how many folks there are, how to find a tribe there etc… Hopefully you get the liking ban lifted soon!
Looks and sounds like you had an amazing week. Except for the insta jail obviously. That totally sucks. I hope to be able to read a little more this upcoming week.
Have a great week and happy reading!
Instagram rules seem random and ridiculous! Why would you be jailed for liking posts? I don’t get it. So happy to hear you liked The Last Chance Cafe. I definitely need to read it soon. Great job on your meal tracking! It feels good to meet goals.
I didn’t know Instagram would do that. I’m not on there enough to like too many comments each time but I do like a few.
I didn’t know Instagram jail was a thing! Yikes lol. Glad your reading mojo is back though 🙂
I am on my second account with Instagram. Back in 2020, I was put in jail with no end date. I waited weeks and just finally started a new account. I try to spread things out throughout the day but the whole thing is dumb. You had an impressive reading week!
I didn’t know that about Instagram. Hope you have a great week!
I hadn’t heard that you could get put IG jail for likes. Crazy!
I had no idea liking a lot of posts was a red flag. Crazy. Glad you’ll be out of “jail” soon! Sounds like you are in the groove with WW. Good for you! I’ve seen The Fine Print all over the place and it seems hugely popular. Glad it was such a hit for you!
Why would you get put into Instagram jail for liking too many post? That weird.
Have a great week.
