Weekly Recap (Week 1) Cheers to 2023!

by | Jan 1, 2023 | Sunday Post | 14 comments

Can you believe that it is a NEW YEAR! I can’t believe that we are already into 2023! And it feels amazing right? There is something so different when you transition from the old year into the new year. But I am ready for it. I don’t have anything crazy as far as resolutions planned. Just the normal read more books (a few reading challenges from Storygraph and of course ROMANCEOPOLY), have fun and just live life to the fullest! Of course I do plan on getting healthier and getting back to working out. But my primary goal is to read books as much as I can.

Bookish Posts and Books Read of Week of December 25 Through December 31st

I will be honest in that I have been doing lots of re-reads this past week, so I am going to leave this section empty for the most part. I mostly was focusing on blog posts and getting some templates going for Bookstagram. So I didn’t really read except for Christmas books and re-reads, but next week it will be a full week! I am excited to get back to reading again.

Bookish Posts To Look Forward To This Week

Book Review-Moonlighter by Sarina Bowen

Grab It Up: Book Release Post

Book Review-Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare

Recommend It: Arranged Marriage

Current Reads

My Current Audiobook is ” The Duke’s Rules of Engagement” I was going to request this as an ARC, but with this author not writing for so long, I didn’t know how it would work out. Then we have Moonlighter was I finished up right at like the middle of the night as the clock rolled into 2023! Review will be on the blog this week for it. Then I had to pick up the Cate C. wells. I am really excited for this one, this story has been teased with previous books. Then as my first roll of Romanceopoly we have Justice Ascending. I have been meaning to get to finishing up this series and really am loving the way that this worked out. Then we have an ARC, its been a while since I have indulged in a Chantal Fernando and looking forward to it here.

Book Releases I am Excited For

Drake by Sawyer Bennett

The Hustler Next Door by KA Tucker

Sleep No More by Jayne Ann Krentz

The Duke Deal by Valerie Bowman

My Weekly TBR

These are books that I have a rough TBR for, I normally don’t like a super strict TBR as I tend to be a mood reader, so I might get to these books but depending on my mood, I might not get to all of them, I have a good mix of library reads, purchased books and kindle unlimited. This week I have some MC, some small town, a touch of historical and some PNR. So its looking to be a solid balanced week of reading!

New Additions to A&R

Making the Match by Kristen Ashley

Rebel Cowboy by Nicole Helm

Irish Linen by Candace McCarthy

Good luck with the templates. Hope you find something you like. I recently read Moonlighter. It was good. It’s one where I can say I liked the heroine as much as I liked the hero (which is seldom the case for me)

I need to read the Tucker series since I have KU now. Have fun with the bloggy/insts stuff. I am doing COYER and the Audiobook challenge this year and couple short ones, like Series in a Month.

Even though I don’t really do resolutions, a new year always seems so full of possibilities. And a fresh start. 🙂 I adored The Arrowood Brothers series by Corinne Michaels. So much love for that series.

I can’t believe it’s 2023 already. They year flew by. I’ll be trying to catch up with medical appointments and exercising more in the new year too. I’ve already been doing more in the last few months. I’d like to read that Sarina Bowen. Enjoy the rest of the holiday, Renee!
