Throwback Thursday: Historical Romance Edition (106) Dance Of Seduction

by | Dec 21, 2017 | Throwback Thursday | 6 comments

This meme was once hosted at Buried Under Romance and Love Saves The World, and hasn’t been active for a while now. So I decided since I have a fierce love for historical romance, to start it up again. Anyone is welcome to join in if you like because I would love to see your pick of the week for a throwback historical romance that you loved!!

What is Throwback Thursday?
Traditionally, Throwback Thursday celebrates nostalgia, asking participants to post a personal photo or an image from their past — usually from 5 to 10 years ago. There are a lot of book blogs that also do a book-related Throwback Thursday.

The Historical Romance Edition:
Since Tin from Love Saves The World, Mary from Buried Under Romance, are fans of historical romance, this is a way to honor our favorite genre.

Here are our rules:
1. It must be posted on a Thursday.
2. It must be a historical romance novel published before October 3, 2008.

She vowed to resist…

It’s difficult enough for Lady Clara Stanbourne to run her London home for reformed young pickpockets without having to contend with a criminal right next door! The mysterious Morgan Pryce is obviously dealing in stolen property, and she will never allow the handsome scoundrel to lead the children astray. Pryce is very much mistaken if he believes her a delicate rose he can wilt with passionate, unspoken promises. Now if only Clara could douse the fiery yearning the charming cad ignites inside her.

His heated caresses…

This bold, beautiful temptress is indeed a distraction—and Morgan wishes he could tell the exquisite Clara the truth: that he is working undercover to break up a notorious crime ring. His mind should be on his duty—not wondering how it would feel to hold Clara in his arms and taste her luscious lips. But now that she has entered into his most dangerous game,Morgan knows he must have her, despite the very real peril to his secret mission—and to his heart.

Why Dance Of Seduction?

I just LOVE this book so very much. It’s one of those special books I keep on my physical book shelf because I have so much love for it. I love these backlisted titles of Jeffries, and in Dance of Seduction we have a wonderful story here. We have a heroine, Clara, who runs a home of reformed pickpocket children. Let us just say it offers some unqiue difficulties. Then her next door neighbor moves in, a reputable criminal and she refuses to let him drive her “kids” down a darker path. But he is secretly an agent for the crown. Definitely adds some fun dynamics between the two here.

About Sabrina Jeffries

Sabrina Jeffries is the NYT bestselling author of 39 novels and 10 works of short fiction (some written under the pseudonyms Deborah Martin and Deborah Nicholas). Whatever time not spent writing in a coffee-fueled haze of dreams and madness is spent traveling with her husband and adult autistic son or indulging in one of her passions—jigsaw puzzles, chocolate, and music. With over 7 million books in print in 20 different languages, the North Carolina author never regrets tossing aside a budding career in academics for the sheer joy of writing fun fiction, and hopes that one day a book of hers will end up saving the world.

She always dreams big.
