Welcome to the feature “Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions” where every monday we get together to talk about issues in the bookish community and our love of books and romance.
So this week I wanted to put a list together of the best sppoky/gothic like romances that are perfect to read at this time of year since we are coming close to “All Hollows Eve” where we deal with ghosts and goblins and candy everywhere. Below are listed the books that I highly recommend to be read in October especially if you love anything Halloween.
I read this book last year and it was pretty great for a beauty and beast retelling. It had a slightly more gothic like feel to it, and still had the right touch of humor and unique elements to make you fall in love.
This book is FANTASTIC!!! We deal with ghosts, intrigue, a mystery, some fun sexy times and great family bonds and it has the perfect gothic feel to it.
This is a newer author to me, I recently discovered her a couple of years ago and boy I was really impressed with this book here. It was so fantastic. But it has so much mystery and intrigue with spies and suspense and solving a huge mystery. So well written and detailed.
This is one of my favorite books from Christine Feehan, and so much action and danger and intrigue. It is set in the bayou near New Orleans, where innocent women are being targeted and murdered and such courage that out heroine has.
This is such a wonderful book to read, it has a more historical feel to it, it deals with gothic feels and a castle and some powerful mystery and intrigue that pulls you right into the story.
This deals with some edgy themes and I love the way this author wrote vampires, and boy this book could be intense at times with lots of action at night in the moonlight in the woods….so that is the perfect setting to get your mood spooky.
This is a story where we deal with immortals, demons, egyptian mythology and ghosts. LOVE it so much, it is one of the best pararnormal spooky edgy reads out there.
LOVE this book, it definitely sparks the imagination and I love the way she writes a paranormal romance. They are very different from most PNR. And boy her vampires are sexy as sin!! Love her heroes to death and this book was a five star read. So if you are looking to try a new voice, highly recommend this one here.
This is a very unique shifter romance, and this book and the whole series is focused around one family The Wilder’s. Lots of action and suspense and sexy romance.
