I decided to join in with this challenge by Parajunkee because there is nothing I love more than a good romance. I feel like its important to show why we love romance and all the good things about a romance novel. Especially lately I have been wanting to show the world why romance needs to be taken way more seriously. Its one of those genres that many people act like they should be ashamed of or is “dirty”, or something to hide from the world. I used to feel that way, but years ago when I started this blog, I decided NO MORE!! Romance novels are some of the best works of literature that I have ever picked up. There have been some co workers at work that tend to mock what I read basically always saying I blog about “trashy books” in a very negative way. It just boils my blood!!! Especially in how much I love romance and how much work I have put into my blog. So why do I read romance some of you may ask? Why is it a genre I chose to focus my blog on? Oh how may I count the ways….the feels, the adventures, the passion, the variety, the spicy and sweet moments and the rich writing that makes those stories feel so real. Below I have shared my Top favorites…but honestly it was really REALLY difficult to narrow it down so much and yes for me with all the books I have read over the past 10-15 years of romance, this is narrowing it down. Considering I have read over 2,000 romances. So what about you? Are you going to join in this shout out challenge???!!!
#1 Romantic Adventure

So many good looking ones I need to read!!!
oh you definitely need to read these if you haven’t….in fact I INSIST!! hehe
Oh boy, so many good ones.
This is such a great list (and I love that I see so many of my favorites on here!!!). Romance is my favorite genre too and I agree with so many things in your opening paragraph – it’s a genre that deserves way more credit and one of the reason I started blogging. Loved this post! <3
oh thank you for stopping by!! And I love that we have many books in common. Its also the reason why I started blogging years ago and why I still love blogging. Nothing beats a romance that ends in happy ever after. π
Well said, Renee! I agree that its an honorable genre and nothing to put down or be ashamed about. Narrowing down to ten would be tough. I do love to see what you picked for these categories. So many could overlap I think, but you did great of picking new books for each one. π
I might do it or a variation of it when I get back from my trip. π
It was actually very difficult to narrow down the list here, and yeah I did try to make sure none overlapped. I would love to see your picks to this challenge!!
Oh my gosh, I meant to participate in this but forgot. I need to see if I still can. I love romance too! So much. I think for me, when I started reading romance, I just felt like I saw myself in those heroines. Not in personality, exactly, but I just felt like I could relate to them so much.
Oh you totally can still do it…I am not sure exactly how long she is doing it but she just posted it a couple days ago. I saw a lot of myself in the heroines as well, I still do.
Wow, there are so many amazing book there! π
Yep they are all fantastic!!!!
Wow you have some great lists there!!! I agree-so many people look down on romance novels. Its unfair.
That’s so impressive. Once someone asked me to make a list my mind goes blank lol
For What It’s Worth
Wow what great lists for all the categories!!
Wow! That’s a lot of book! I loved Real, have to agree there. And The Deal… agreed. I still need to read Bully! One day!
So many great books! People who think poorly of romance really drive me nuts. When I started my job 4 years ago, I told them that I like to read. One of the guys looked at me and said well you just read romance. I do read romance but that isn’t all I read so I don’t know how he made that decision – I am a girl so I guess I can only read romance? Anyway, romance is so well done so I think that anyone trashing it has never picked one up to even know what they are talking about.
Wow! You’ve listed lots of my fave books and authors here. While in the Air Force, I had a male friend who used to borrow my romance novels to get lines to quote to women, which I always thought was cool. There are many, many writers out there who are true artists when it comes to romance. Great post! Hugs…RO
