Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions: Mothers in Romance

by | May 11, 2020 | Tea and Biscuits Discussions | 0 comments

Tea and Biscuits is a weekly meme post where there is talk of topics ranging from blogging to read and anything in between.

So since yesterday was Mother’s Day I wanted to share some of my favorite reads that feature beautiful motherhood. I have so much love and respect for mothers out there and all the sacrifice and love they give. And I love seeing a strong mother in a romance.

Randy-Outlaw Hearts by Rosanne Bittner

We see such great devotion to family as Randy. I just love how she “gets” her children. And its not by waving some magical wand and making everything work. Its about true acceptance of who they are and just loving them unconditionally.

Elizabeth-Elizabeth’s Wolf by Lora Leigh

Elizabeth is such a good mother to her daughter Cassie. She is a fighter for her daughter and will even fight Dash (her mate) to protect her if she has to.

Tamara-Flat Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy

Tamara is such a strong heroine and sacrifices so much for her children and will do anything for them. Love that devotion.

Chelsea-Sustained by Emma Chase

What a true lady to admire and love. I adore Chelsea in so many ways. Now she isn’t exactly a mother, but she has taken in her six nieces who have become orphans and is such a beautiful mother for them.

Cara-Fated by Rebecca Zanetti

Cara is such a darling heroine and Zanetti really portrayed her motherhood role so well. She manages to be a single mother and a scientist all at once. And she will do whatever it takes to protect her daughter.

Abbie-Rogue In Texas by Lorraine Heath

Abbie has three children and is so hardworking and dedicated to them in such small beautiful ways. She shows the measure of the little moments that show the beauty of motherhood.

Ashaya-Hostage To Pleasure by Nalini Singh

This is the true measure of sacrifice in protecting your child. Ashaya will do anything to protect her son from harm and this just shows what most mothers who love their children will do .

Ella-Smooth Talking Stranger by Lisa Kleypas

Even though she is technically not a mother…..she is the real mother who shows such love. And there are many women out there who are the real mom’s even though they didn’t give birth to the children they nurture and love.

Who are some of your favorite mothers you read in romance? What do you love about seeing motherhood in the books you read? Let me know in the comments below
