Last night I heard some so heartbreaking news, another wonderful classic author has passed away. According to this article which you can read HERE
Karen Ranney is an author that I have loved from the beginning, she was one of the first adult authors I read as a matter of fact. My first book was “One Man’s Love” which was written in 2001 and since I got hooked in romance around 2004, that was considered a current release. And even though I remember NOTHING about what it was about since it was forever ago, I do remember how it fed my love of Scottish Romance. This author writes some powerful romance written in the setting of Scotland. And I started reading some of her others books as they became released over the years. There are some books I have yet to read by this author but I have loved reading her style over the years. She definitely honors what romance fiction is all about. She has written both historical romance and some paranormal romance as well.
She is a woman though that is a woman of faith and hasn’t been ashamed to share her beliefs. She has always believed and stood for self empowerment, taking charge of your own life and crafting your own success. I love that she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what she believed in which is lost on much of the younger generations now. Just as a person, she has been an inspiration to me in multitude of ways. Karen has been an author not afraid of backlash or hate just being strong and having a spine and being firm in what she believes in right. Its so beautiful and refreshing and this world is missing out on beautiful soul who made this life more beautiful because she was a part of it.
So let me share some of my favorite reads from her over the years
This is one of my more recent reads from this author and I had such a blast with this one. So heartfelt in many respects.
This was one of my first reads from her, and I will be honest the title sold me, I was so intrigued. Love how protective and caring the hero is in this one.
A story of secrets and pain but also one of feisty interactions and deep emotion. I truly adored this story so much.
You can’t get better than a brooding Laird and a strong healer…..the bantering between these two is such a delight.
*sigh* this story, such a beautifully written story I just loved and adore. And this cover is the original stepback too 🙂
One of the most unique books I have ever read, and it is a beauty and beast retelling and Ranney did an incredible job with this retelling. 🙂
