Tea and Biscuits Book Discussion: My Go To Blogs

There are so many blogs I try to get to every week, but I wanted to share some of my favorite bloggers especially those that I have been with the longest or have some great relationships with!!! Now from the beginning of blogging there are only a few left that still blog which saddens me in many ways. But there are some great bloggers I have discovered along the way that have inspired me in so many different ways!!!

Mandi @ Smexy Books

740db9bf29c5a3b08d91c2176d61bd4dNow this lady I haven’t seen too much of lately, but I have connected with so many times and I love her so much!!! We have always had the same interests in books, and she was one of the first bloggers I ever knew. Even though she has a team of bloggers on her site now, she didn’t in the beginning and I have no clue how she read so much!!! It used to be we would comment back and forth between our blogs, but now its mostly on Goodreads we have discussions on books still!!! Even though its not as frequent as it used to be….I admire her so much. So if you don’t know her site or read her reviews—she is one of the most highly respected reviewers out there.

Danielle @ TBQ Book Palace

Oh I just love this lady to pieces!!! We became really good friends in the beginning, going so far as emailing each other back and forth every week. We both live in Utah (which is awesome especially as romance bloggers) and even though we haven’t met yet, we are making plans before I leave the state. We used to share quite a bit especially in what we read, she used to love HR like I do, but her tastes have changed to Contemporary recently. So she is my go to girl for Contemporary romance reads. She is pretty busy with family and school, so I don’t get to interact with her as much as I would like but she is one classy lady that I have great admiration for!!!

Mary @ Buried Under Romance

Mary has been in the blogging community for quite some time now, and like myself she is a big fan of historical romance!!! I have had a blast sharing books with her over the years!! I really love the team she has on her blog too—they have the same passion for HR that I can relate with. This lady is one of the few bloggers left, that I have been with since almost the beginning. I have so much respect and love for this gal—so head over to her site and give her and her team some love.

Sophia @ Delighted Reader

Sophia is one of those ladies that I have been friends with for a couple of years. But what a lady and she reads like CRAZY fast. I mean I thought I read fast, but no she is like superwoman when it comes to reading and blogging. And I have no idea where she has the time to comment so much, and does the most genuine and sweet comments I have ever received!!! She is a lover of romance and I have loved seeing the same interests in books as I do. She has definitely sparked more love of Jane Austen for me.

Jennifer @ Feminist Fairy Tales

Jennifer is one of those bloggers that brings a smile to your face!!! It has been so fun getting to know her over the years, and to talk books with her. We have the same interests in reading!!! She loves most genres of romance like I do, so we have quite a bit in common especially in what we read. She also got me into Historical Romance 101 feature we have done the past two years. She is very genuine and real and I feel so blessed to know her!!! I hope one day I can meet her in person.

Quinn @ Quinn’s Nook Book

Oh Quinn….lovely beautiful librarian Quinn!!! Lover of books and anything sweet and lighthearted!!! She has led me to some wonderful books and authors that I wouldn’t have considered if it wasn’t for her!! I love her humor, and sweet nature. I love this gal to pieces, and she can always make me laugh especially on days I need it. I haven’t been friends with her for very long, but what fun so far and I am looking forward for more!!

Nick @ The Girl With The Happy Ever Afters

Nick is a recent blogger I stumbled upon. At first it was at her YA blog, but then recently she started a romance review blog. I love Nick…she is brilliant and kind and writes the kind of reviews that has you one clicking that title right away!!! And she is a lover of anything Lisa Kleypas…so she had my heart when I learned that 🙂

Anna @ Herding Cats and Burning Soup

This cat lady is someone to admire and she is such a talented blogger!!! She works like crazy and gets so much done and I am always in awe of her and what she gets done. Like seriously—-I don’t think she is mortal at ALL!! I think she has some vampire or PNR abilities. She is so lively and fun and I love her style of blogging. She definitely makes her reviews and posts super entertaining. I adore seeing her personality shine through.

Jill @ Romance Rookie

I love this lady. She is the first blogger that inspired me to be a book blogger so many years ago!!! She took a very long break but has recently come back—*clapping hands* that always makes me the happiest. Seeing a favorite blogger come back with new energy and zest. She loves historical romance like I do and is a fabulous reviewer.

  1. Aww! <3 Thank you so much for the kind words! You have seriously made my day. I'm so glad that we have become blog friends this year because I adore you and all your romance reviews.
I only know Quinn from your list (love her!), but I'll be visiting all of these this week. Thanks for sharing and again, thank you for the lovely comment about me and my blog! <3

  2. Thanks for the mention, my dear, and in the company of some amazing ladies, too! 🙂

I’m always thankful that we’ve “met”; even with the online community, it can be hard to remember at times that I am not, in fact, the only romance reader in the state, though it often feels that way IRL!

      1. Exactly. And even those who do read within the genre don’t really admit to it; I think many women here are taught to be ashamed (even more so than the general romance community) for reading such “dirty” books, so even those who are buying some from the store or borrowing from the library don’t usually talk about their reading tastes. Which is sad. Talking about books is almost as great as reading said fantastic books. 🙂

  3. What a stunning surprise! I feel humbled to be on your list, Renee. I recognize several, but I see a few new to mes. I do love meeting other book lovers. 🙂
