Tea and Biscuits Book Discussion: Best Romances I’ve Read in 2017 So Far

This year has had plenty of ups and downs, even for reading for me. But I will say that there has been some wonderful books that I have picked up. All of these books were the highlight of the year so far, books thatI couldn’t put down, books that swept me away in the story and books that met with every expectation and more!!!

Rough and Tumble by Rhenna Morgan

I have really enjoyed this author since I discovered her a couple of years ago, but I have to say this new series is AMAZING!! Its so different and she creates the most endearing characters. The theme of the series is fascinating, and this book was simply fantastic. Definitely a book you can count on to fall in love with.

Mr. President and Commander in Chief by Katy Evans

These two duo books, were fantastic, even if a bitter sweet with all the politics going on currently. But what I loved about these two books is the characters, and most especially our hero. He makes the perfect President. He grew up with a father who was President, he understands the politics and what it takes to be a good leader. His only agenda is to create a better life for his country and the people. I loved how honest and good he is, isn’t corrupted by money or power. Our heroine is just as wonderful, she is sweet and kind, and graceful. She has her own plans to help those in need. They make such a wonderful pair together and balance each other out.

Bound Together by Christine Feehan

This was the perfect book to finalize the series and give hints to another connecting series that is in the making. Feehan is just fantastic, but she did a fabulous job with this one. I really couldn’t give enough of this couple, and is probably one of my favorites that she has ever written. And a hero that is a biker….made for a delicious aspect.

Real by Katy Evans

REAL would have to be one of my all time favorite MMA romances that I have ever read. I love these two together, and they are simply fantastic. And Katy Evans can write a powerful packed love story, and REAL takes the cake. It is simply wonderful.

The Highland Duke by Amy Jarecki

Amy Jarecki is one of the best authors when it comes to writing historical romance, especially Scottish Highland settings. What I admire most about this one, was the history and how much detail, and its obvious she does her research. This book especially packed a wild punch full of history and adventure and danger and passion—what more could I want?

Escape To You by Jennifer Ryan

I just read this one and its probably one of my favorite books she has written so far. The characters are what really make this book come alive. And her writing is phenomenal, I love a book I can’t put down. A story I can immerself completely with.

My One True Highlander by Suzanne Enoch

I will admit I have recently struggled with this author over the past few years, but this book was simply AMAZING!! I just couldn’t get enough, of what this author has done with this book.

A Momentary Marriage by Candace Camp

Candace Camp is a fantastic author, and definitly underrated in my opinion. This book is my favorite that I have read from her. I loved this pair so very much, and this author definitely gives us some surprises too that I wasn’t expecting. Which this author always does for me, I always know when picking her up that I will have a few twists and turns.

Blackthorne’s Bride by Joan Johnston

Blackthorne’s Bride is fantastic, and so unique. This author has always done westerns in the past, (which she is great at), she has delved into both historical and contemporary. But this book, was a Regency romance and what a whopper of a book. I just couldn’t put this one down, and I loved every moment. And it was just right, and even though I had to wait for a few years for this book to be published, it was well worth the wait.

Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas

I will admit that I was nervous about this one, but it definitely met all of my expectations. Now it can’t compare with Devil in Winter of course, because that is just a classic for me. But Devil in Spring is witty and fun and charming and everything that Lisa Kleypas gives to her readers. A romance to cheer for and I had so much fun with this book and is one of my all time favorites.
