This week has been pretty hectic as it has been Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The work week was slower of course due to the holiday but I did get a four-day weekend. We have paid holidays so I didn’t have to work the 26th either, so nice not having to work the big holiday days and still get paid for it. Spent a couple of days up in a town called “Vernal” its only has about 10k so it’s smaller, not quite a super small town, but not a city either. My sister just moved there so she hosted and I can tell how much happier she is there and how much better it is for my nephews to have fresh air and room to play and grow. We attended a country fair and it was so much fun. I love how close-knit this community is and they all come and join in the fun activities. From sleigh bell horse-drawn hayrides, to a festival of trees, craft stalls, ice skating, and even a parade. Then when I got home I got to decorate my apartment with all the Christmas goodness. And I love it so much. I just love Christmas decor. So definitely ready for the Christmas season. My reading hasn’t been too great though, with so much going on, I wasn’t able to read as much as I would have liked to, but did discover some wonderful reads, one of which was one of my most anticipated ones. So even though it wasn’t plentiful, it was surely superb!

I can’t wait to delve into this one, I have looked forward to this one so much here. I have been putting it off for a while, because its the last of the series, but I have adored these books and curious to see what this author delivers here.
Currently Listening
I am so excited for this one here, I just love this author, and she writes the best small-town romances. So far it’s been a great read even if I just started reading it.

Lusting For Covers
I absolutely love this cover, all the white lights just add such a wonderful glow.
Stepback Sunday
I absolutely love this stepback, its so pretty and I love the underwater setting.
ooh, I have a hold for the Thayne book, so I am happy to hear you enjoy the author. That fair sounds like it was lovely. I miss stuff like that.
Oh yay!!! I think you will really enjoy that one there. Thayne is such a delight to read. And yes the fair was so fun. I love what these small communities do and how interconnected they are to each other. We don’t get that in the cities.
The county fair sound like it was a lot of fun! I love Christmas and all the decorations. However someone in my household doesn’t like any of it so we don’t decorate. Hope you have a great week!
Oh yes the country fair was a blast!! Oh boy you don’t decorate? thats so sad. My sister’s father in law doesn’t like the decor either.
Happy Sunday! I love Christmas decorations too and meant to put some up this week but didn’t happen. Isn’t it great to have a long weekend? I took the whole week off but now I’m dreading all the work I probably have waiting for me. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day and I will check out that youtube link on how to read more! Sounds fun.
Thank you! Yes its been really nice having a long weekend although it went by too quickly haha
I’m in Australia so no Thanksgiving but we have imported Black Friday Sales and I was able to do half of my Christmas shopping.
I can see the appeal of Death 😉
Wishing you a great reading week
I’m working on a Christmas reading list—and I’m adding Sleighbells Ring and A Dash of Christmas to it!
Happy Sunday!

Whoa… I really need to finish the Four Horsemen series. War was the last one I read.
That stepback is gorgeous!
Ive heard good things about that Thayne series but haven’t read it yet. I haven’t decorated yet. Its usually a hassle because of the pets. So, we will see if it happens this year!
Loved hearing about your Christmas doings. Enjoy the week with your new wonderful books 🙂
I like your title for this one! Sounds like a really amazing small town- I love little county fairs and Christmasy walks and stuff like that. We had one of those too by us. And same here with holiday decor. I love putting the tree up and seeing everything all lit!
So glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving! And that country fair sounds wonderful! You’ve got some great reads coming up–I’m hoping to fit in Thayne’s book in the next couple of weeks. I adore her holiday books! I had to work Thanksgiving, Black Friday…will work Christmas Eve, Christmas night, New Year’s Eve, etc. But it was our first one with our rescue dog Mindy Lou so that was fun. Boy did she love the turkey!! lol
OMG how I would have loved being gthere with you at that fair!! It seems you had a great time!
Yea for paid holidays and time off. Are you still enjoying the new job? I had a good long weekend, time with families and having fun. We also caught up on some TV watching and went to see the new Ghostbusters movie, which I really enjoyed. (So my reading also suffered a bit!)
I put up our Christmas Tree yesterday, but still have the rest of the decorating to do.
Hooray for the four day weekend… and getting paid for Friday. 🙂 The fair sounds like a lot of fun, nice that the community gets so involved. Yay for holiday decorating! I really enjoy doing that, and then getting to appreciate it for the next month. Thayne is so, so good at sweet, small town romances.
