Paperback Books
i saw this at B&N and knew I had to pick it up…that gorgeous cover and the blurb…and the ratings of this book are fairly high Β so since I loved the previous book I just wanted to try this one out. And its the same price as the e book…so I do love a good paperback.
Captain Jack’s Woman is the first book of the Cynster’s…which I have never read…and I had though I had read all of the earlier books in the series (which I adored) so I can’t wait to delve into this one…and don’t you love this beautiful cover…I love the redesign…with the red cape and the ocean shore behind them and I do love a man in a simple white shirt.
I have read all of this author except this book…and those of you who have never read this author…well quite frankly you are missing out!! She is amazing! Her books are all contemporary, but they have a mystical or magical theme to them…and most of them include some sexy scots from the past….you can’t get better than that…I am thinking this summer to do a re read of her whole connected series…anyone want to join in…let me know π
Okay…well I have never read this author, and I heard great reviews of this one….and I know “virgin” but I feel a kinship to virgins, I tend to relate with them more and so I love the blurb of this one…looks like it will be a good adventure.
E Books
I have started to get into the “New Adult” genre, and I am starting to really love it, and its rare to find interracial romances and so I thought that it was due. The only other author I have read that does interracial is Beverly Jenkins…so I am excited to see how this author does.
I have read the first two books in audio…and as much as I would have liked to listen to it, I just had to read this one…because quite frankly she and the youngest “Mercy” are my two favorite sisters of the four. I just finished it today and really liked it, and thankfully I was prepared about how her sisters treat her or I would have been as mad as a hornet at them.
Now I love gritty and tough romances…and this sounds just up my alley. You don’t find too many contemps like this one, that would appeal to me, but I love those recommendation…and even though I really shouldn’t be adding more books to my pile…I couldn’t resist in this one.
AudiobookΒ
Now who doesn’t love this author right? I mean its JULIE GARWOOD of all people. I have been on a kick lately to listen to all of her historical audios…and I am almost done (sad)….but this one I am currently listening to and almost finished with it. But I love this story because its raw in emotion and I love the way Garwood paints her characters…especially her heroines…because even when they make foolish decisions (don’t we all though??) they make up for it in spunk, tenacity and the will to fight for their men. And those who have read this one….the whole battle in the forest scene is fantastic!!
Oh nice! Those are all new to me but I hope you enjoy them all!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!

Thanks!! I love those hot heroes…they just look great on the covers right?? π Thanks for stopping by.
Nice haul! I’m still debating on whether or not I want to read Dark Skye. Hope you like it! π
Thanks!! I was debating for a while too…but when I read some reviews on GR…I decided to pick it up…so I hope I like it…but if its anything like her other books I am sure its great.
The Chapman book has a cute cover though it doesn’t fit the title. Enjoy all your new books. π
Yeah its pretty adorable…I think the goal of the cover was to match the theme of the covers from the series and really all of her books…so as much as I would have loved to see some sexy scot in a kilt…it still works for me because its Chapman’s style. Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
I have yet to read a Cole adult book! I’m interested in that Julia London book too π I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a lovely weekend π

Nice selection of romances. Enjoy.
Good Haul. I’m loving the paperback cover for Dark Skye, so much better than the original. π
OOo yay for Cole and London. Cole’s been a long favorite of mine π
Nice haul you got this week. That redesigned cover for Captain Jackβs Woman looks really good indeed! I don’t know what the previous cover looked like, but I am really liking this one. Oh and the Highlander Next Door sounds fun and yay for a dog on the cover, will have to check out that author!
Thanks Lola!! You should really check out Janet Chapman…she is amazing!! Probably one of my top favorite authors to read and read and read!! Hope you get to try her out soon.
I recently finished Dark Skye. I got the HB on a major clearance or I’d have been waiting for the paper copy too. Loved it! Now the loooong wait for the next book. I’m a big fan of the Hitman series. Last Hit wasn’t my favorite, but it still did the job of hooking me.
I haven’t read those others, but they are ones I’ve contemplated- so hard to figure out how to stretch that book budget. haha! I’ll enjoy your reviews on them.
Oooh, you’ve got some fab additions this week! I’m intrigued to see what you think of Last Hit, I really enjoyed it π
Thanks!! I just finished Last Hit..and it was superb…way better than I was expecting, it was quite fun seeing the story develop. I am really looking forward to the second book now.
Great books and so many covers with pretty dresses, enjoy your books!
Got a nice mixture of books this week. Happy Reading.
My Book Haul
That’s a great haul! I loved Dark Skye so I hope you enjoy it. I need to catch up on Julia London’s books, it’s been a while since I’ve read a historical romance. Have a great week and I hope you enjoy all your new books!
Thanks!! I am pretty excited for Dark Skye and Cole is just fantastic. Julia London is wonderful, I like how she deals with very human like issues that are easy to relate with.
