Now these picks are a few out of 230 books that I have read this year. And I tend to be very disappointed each year in Goodreads choice awards, so thought I would do one of my own to showcase my personal favorite reads of the year.

haha….those were great ones right? Royally Screwed was so funny. And Feehan knows how to write a compelling story. And I can never get enough of Curran and Kate. They definitely pack a punch.

Hey, great minds think alike. I was just pondering what I was going to put on my ‘Best of 2016’ post. I like how you broke it down by sub-genre. I’ll have to do that.

I would count the Rosanne Bittner, Nalini Singh, Kristen Ashley, Ilona Andrews and JR Ward’s books, too. I think Promise of Fire will be one of my breakout fav category ones.

One of these days I’ll get to Grace Draven.

haha yay, we are like two peas in a pod. I am glad to see we have so many authors in common for this year, especially Bittner. And I highly recommend Grace Draven. You would LOVE her work. Its different but she writes some of the best love stories.

I’d definitely include Nalini Singh, Lisa Kleypas, Emma Chase, Laura Kaye, Kristen Ashley and Christine Feehan. I’d add Beautiful by Christina Lauren, Burn Down the Night by Molly O’Keefe, Swear on This Life by Renee Carlino, Only Beloved by Mary Balogh and The Devil You Know by Jo Goodman. (I lucked out reading a lot of great books this year thanks to Harlequin Junkie! πŸ™‚ )

Some pretty great authors here. Feehan, Singh and Kleypas are amazing. And Ashley just gives me all the feels. I do love Mary Balogh, she is wonderful.

Ahhh! So many great books in this list! I need to read Sparking the Fire. Winterborne is one of my favorites too this year (obviously) and A Promise of Fire too. Have you read the new LK novella? Highland Spitfire was super fun too. I’m really eager for the next one!

I am right there with you with the Kate Daniels books! I read the whole series for the first time this year. They were such fantastic reads.

I have to be honest, I didn’t LOVE Walk Through Fire, but there was one scene in the book that broke me, and it may well be my favorite scene KA has ever written.

I really need to get to that Amanda Bouchet series. I’ve heard such good things about it!

    Excellent list!

Does wanting to read some of these count? I have not read a single one. I just did my favorites for RabidReads a week or so ago. Not sure when it’s going to post. It’s hard to break it down to just a few isn’t it? I like a lot of the authors on your list πŸ™‚
