About The Book

Fawn Reed has kissed one too many toads and has finally decided that Prince Charming doesn’t exist. After countless mishaps, mistakes, and unmitigated disasters on the dating scene, she’s decided to give up and move on with her life…solo.

Everything changes, however, after Fawn runs into Levi Fremont, a homicide detective new to New York City.

Dedication to the job has rendered Levi’s love life nonexistent—until he moves in next door to the free-spirited Fawn. After a series of comedic run-ins push them together, will they finally give in to the inevitable and realize—maybe—they are perfect for each other?

My Review

Running Into Love is the 1st book in the series by this author, and this is also a new to me author that I finally got to pick up and I had a BLAST. I have been looking for more romantic comedies that don’t have illustrated covers and this book fits exactly what I was looking for. I had come across this in my shelves on GoodReads and was thinking why haven’t I read this author yet. So I read a sample on Amazon, and I immediately grabbed it from KU because I was so hooked on it. The first page….y’all ….I was completely hooked into the story and it felt so good. I love it when I pick a new author and their writing just sucks me into their story. I really was amazed by the mix of humor and heart that this story conveys. It was short, sexy, and sweet! I absolutely love these types of romances and this author just felt like a great palate cleanser as well. I was hooked into the mix of a Police Detective as our hero (who is also a alphamellow) and our heroine, who is a crazy school teacher. And they mixed together so well. I really had a blast with the hoots of laughter and the crazy family shenanigans and how patient Levi was with Fawn. They were so perfect together, and just seeing them really connect so well from beginning to end was such a treat. I was drawn into their dialogue and the way it was so flirty yet feisty. They both have strong personalities but balanced each other out. It was such an interesting story though, the chemistry was gold and they were both so invested in the relationship and it really built up in such a sweet way and I definitely will be reading this author again, I definitely need more books like this in my life!

I think I listened to this one. It was cute. I think if you like this one, you will love her newer ones. Her Until series is still my favorite of hers.

Yes! I adored it and I was sucked into the story.. So after this series I am going to try her new series as those covers are just gorgeous. Are those rom com’s too? or just more contemporary?

It sounds like we’re a bit opposite of each other, because I tend to avoid real people covers and search actively for cartoon cover romances haha. But this one might change my mind because it sounds really cute and like a great summertime read! I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

haha yeah Stephanie, I think we have very opposite reading tastes for romance. I don’t really read those with illustrated covers unless its a favorite author as I have been disappointed mostly with what I have read plus I like the clinch covers with real peeps on them. I don’t even like cartoons or anything like that so illustrated covers just don’t do it for me, but I do understand the appeal and I am so happy that they work for you!! There is a lot in the romance genre for everyone to enjoy. But there are some great rom com authors that don’t have illustrated covers who are superb so I recommend this one.
