Library Loot (80)

I have returned to Utah temporarily….and so the first thing I do, I head to the library because this library is awesome when it comes to romances. I have yet to see a library that has the selection they do, especially in historical romance. And I have been bad about my oldie but a goodie reading challenge, so the rest of the year I am going to focus on that a bit more. Those ARC’s are so very distracting. ๐Ÿ™‚

This has been on my list for the longest time, and was pleased to find this one on the library shelf. Her dress is so pretty, and I like the set up of mysteries and solving puzzles with some fun bantering.

Paula Quinn is one of those authors I really really enjoy but haven’t read that much of. And I am starting to get in the mood for some Christmas romance. I love a great highlander romance. And the blurb really intrigued me here. I like that we have an injured brooding highlander and a heroine who heals him.

I do love a good vampire romance, and Susan Sizemore has always been an author I can easily get into reading. A fated love trope, a heroine whose life is in danger, and a hero that is a vampire magician…intriguing and I can’t wait to start it.

I just love Debra Mullins and she writes some great regency romances. Her stories are always a bit more unique than the typical set ups. I like that there is a hate to love and some secret identities that come into play here.

I might have read this book many many years ago when I started reading romance when I was a teenager since this cover looks familar. But the blurb isn’t that familar to me, so I am going to read it because it sounds sexy and adventurous. And the stepback is just gorgeous.

This is one of those books that I saw the title, looked at the sexy medieval cover, and picked it up to read the blurb. And yep I placed it in my bag because I just a medieval heroine that likes to hunt with a bow and arrow over doing some embroidery, and having an unrequited love trope. Since I haven’t read one of those in a long while. And man that pose…LOOOOVE it. Its so tender and romantic.

I am not sure that I have actually ever read Amanda Quick, although I have read a few romantic suspenses of her other name Jayne Krentz (*gasp*, I know I know what kind of romance reader am I anyways right?) Well I am fixing that right now because I just grabbed this up. And I hear her historical’s are just superb. And there was a teaser on the front page and I was like….I gotta know what happens. ๐Ÿ˜›

Susan Johnson I have loved reading, but haven’t read too much of her work. She is very historically accurate and I like that and I have really been in the mood for an older romance and I like the way Johnson writes. And boy it deals with a russian playboy prince….sign me up because I love russian characters and they are so rare in modern day romances.

Hey, that’s great! I need to hit my Oldies challenge better, too. I’m nearly there, but just need a little bump to get past the goal line. Hope your library goodies are great reads for you. I like the sound of the Susan Johnson, too, and she’s a new to me author.

Yes I have been horrible about it, just accepting too many ARC’s this year, more than I normally do. Susan Johnson is pretty good. I like her writing style a lot.
