I am Back to Blogging!!

Wow….this week has been so crazy for me!!! Moving to another state and a big city at that is way more stressful that you can imagine especially if you are doing it by yourself. Well I am living in Dallas, and even though it hasn’t gone as smoothly as I would have liked, I am starting to figure out things and what I want to do. First off my new place is NOT as nice as they portrayed online, and I live in a ghetto part of Dallas, and boy am I moving soon as soon as I can break my lease. But I knew that this might happen especially since I don’t know the area at all. Second, my employer is not good at all. He is okay but is unwilling to work with my availability so I can have a second job and do volunteer work to help build my career.Β  So yeah looking for another full time job as we speak!!! I haven’t had internet or cable for a whole week and is driving me nuts but thankfully, I just got service and now I have it. And boy I have missed my blog so very much and all of you and I want to thank you for taking the time to comment even though I haven’t been around and I will get back to you I promise, just got to get caught up on some reviews. I apologize for the ranting and any of you that are DFW residents, I would love to meet up for lunch or browse some book shops!!! Love you all and thank you for your patience.

I had to move across country some time ago and it was a big uproar to my life so I get all that you’re not saying. I don’t think you ranted at all. Those are big deals that you shared. Wishing you success as you work on finding a safer section of the city and a more promising job, Renee. Glad to know you’re back online, but please don’t feel the pressure to visit while you are busy getting settled.
    Take care, dear friend!

Yeah but a part of me was expecting this to happen though. I had never been here so I had no idea what to expect but it certainly has been an adventure.

I’m really sorry that your move wasn’t as smooth as you hoped it would be. The ghetto area situation is exactly what happened to me. I thought the area was good, but it’s not safe at all. But the apartment is good though so I can’t complain. And ugh. That really sucks about the job situation too. Fingers crossed that you find the perfect job. Take care of yourself, and good luck with everything.

Oh yay…someone that understands, I wish now I had bought a gun before coming here because the black ghetto of the city is not the type of place I was looking to move into. Hopefully I will find a better place soon, and I think I might be able to get out of my lease easier than normal if I contact their corp office and explain the situation because they didn’t even let me look at the apt before having me sign the lease. Its just a shady area and not the type of place I wanted to live. I think I am going to go out into the suburbs because its probably way better to do that. Yeah I didn’t want to leave my job, but I need to find something that pays more anyway so hopefully I can find something soon. It will be nice to have everything settled and not feel stressed out anymore.

Oh, that sucks. I have been to Dallas and have found it so intimidating! I hope you’ll be safe wherever you are. <3

Yeah it is pretty intimidating, I am thinking I am going to head over to Fort Worth, lot easier to get around and the roads here are so confusing hehe I can’t wait until I don’t have to rely on my GPS so much.

Poor thing, I wondered what area you’d be moving to :/ Hope your lease isn’t for a full year or you can break it easily/cheaply. And I really hope you find an awesome job or the current one gets better. I’ll email you my contact info, this week and next week are going to be crazy for me but I might have time to meet up πŸ™‚

It has been an adventure that is for sure. I moved to Garland in the middle of one of the ghetto areas (not the worst but not the best either) and seeing police cops in my apt parking lot every night and sirens going off all of the time freaks me out a bit. From what my co workers tell me, I didn’t move to the best place. I have been thinking about going to Fort Worth or maybe a city in between since there is quite a bit I want to do and see that is over there!! I just hope one day I will be able to get around DFW without a GPS….*crossing fingers* and I was told from a fellow co worker here that if I contact their corp office about breaking my lease since I am out of state, I can easily get out of it if not I have to pay them a fee and two months notice and I so do NOT want to wait that long but if I get a really good paying job than I could do it. I would love to get together with you sometime!!! Don’t worry if you have a crazy week, just when you are free…I know things are very busy for you right now!!!!

lol!! You’ll get used to not using the GPS after awhile πŸ™‚ I like most of the suburbs, they’re a lot quieter depending on where you pick vs Downtown Dallas and probably a lot cheaper too. The only downside is each has their own ghetto area and you’re not really going to be able to tell… Feel free to look online and ask if you need help! I’m out in Carrollton and enjoy the area, though dislike my downstairs neighbors. I emailed your blog email, I can probably do Saturday if you’re free and interested in going to the event. I’m half wondering if I can bring you to the VIP reception on Saturday lol! If not we can figure something out πŸ™‚
