Rough and Tumble by Rhenna Morgan

I had, of course, read previous books by this author however this new series of hers is AMAZING!!! I can’t stress enough how good these books are. I love this brotherhood and not your average MC type romance at all. Every character is simply endearing. In Rough and Tumble we have our leader’s story. And boy wish he was real.

Devil In Spring by Lisa Kleypas

I was pretty nervous about this especially with the son of Evie and Sebastian being the hero. But man, he was probably my favorite hero of the year. He was written so amazingly well. Even though the heroine is not my favorite of the heroines written by Kleypas, this author managed to make me like a character I really didn’t care too much for in the beginning. So bravo!!!

Into The Fire by Jeaniene Frost

Oh WHAT A BOOK!!! Even though its not my favorite one of the series, it was definitely one of my favorite books to read this year. I loved everything about this book. And I just can’t get enough of Vlad and Leila. For some reason, I like them more than Cat and Bones. And man this book just had me on edge the WHOLE TIME READING IT!!!

The Sea King by C.L. Wilson

This Is an AMAZING FANTASY ROMANCE!! I had such a fun time with this book. I liked it just as much as Winter King, and what man this author made mermen sexy as hell. What I fell for madly for this one was the culture of the men. I love how eager they are to fall in love and get married—MEN NOT AFRAID OF COMMITMENT??!! Yep they LOVE it and work their butts off to get the opportunity. I read this 600 page book within one day. That is how good it was for me.

So I Married A Sorcerer by Kerrelyn Sparks

This was the year for fantastic fantasy romance because this book ROCKED the house!!!! There was so much in this book that I adored and loved in every way We start off with a kidnapping by a pirate and this pirate turns out to actually be a good man at the heart and the woman he kidnaps wins his heart and they go on some adventures together to reclaim justice. I love how well matched these two are. And man, this book is probably the best this author has ever written.

The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare

I was pretty nervous about this book to be honest. This author I have struggled with for a few years now and her writing just hasn’t worked for me. Her stories are just way too modern for historical romances. However even though The Duches Deal had a slight feel of that, it wasn’t as prominent and it was such a witty and endearing read. And I this is the first book I have read from her that I really enjoyed since her Spindle Cove series.

A Daring Arrangement by Joanna Shupe

Who doesn’t love this era? I love seeing this book just come to life here. I love this era and setting of New York’s 1800’s Gilded Age. So fascinating and so rare to see now a days. I loved a non regency romance and this book was simply just fun and lively and the writing was superb.

Ride Wild by Laura Kaye

I will have to say that out of all the MC romances I have read, this series is my favorite because I love these men in the brotherhood and how they go out of their way to reach out to help women in danger. Specifically women and children that are suffering from abusive relationships and being sold into slavery. I love these “knights on bikes” and this book was my favorite.

Undercover Attraction by Katee Robert

This O Malley family has been a blast to read and I loved this book so much and plus a fake engagement trope always works for me. But I loved seeing another side to the eldest brother and the one sibling I haven’t always know what to think about. But I did fell in love with him here.

Oh good picks!!! Devil in Spring was amazing. I adored Ride Wild as well! I think that series is so under hyped! I was bummed to hear the publisher dropped it but thrilled she is going to continue on with the series (at least a little bit) as an indie!

Lots of wonderful picks on this list. Lisa Kleypas and Laura Kaye’s books were probably my favorites here. Great emotional depth, solid characters, intriguing plots. Sigh… Now I want to re-read them. LOL! 🙂
