In The Beast Of Him, we have a story that is wildly wicked and sexy fun and one I just couldn’t get enough of. This author is slowly getting me addicted to her writing style, which is so outrageous and different from anything I have ever had the chance to read. This is the second book in the series, and the first full novel of these books. This is Bobby Ray Smith’s story, and from the first book I was really intrigued by Bobby Ray. Bobby Ray has been in love with Jessie Anne for years. When he was a teeenager, he protected Jessie Anne from his sisters antics who had issues with timid Jessie Anne, who was the only wild dog in town amongst wolves. But He was intrigued by her. Then he signed up for the navy, and its been years since he has seen her. But now that he has taken lead of his pack and moved them to New York, he meets up with Jessie Anne and is out to claim her for good. Jessie Anne has changed from that timid girl she once was. She is now a CEO of a computer security firm, and leader of the wild dog pack. She always had a soft spot for Bobby Ray.
This was such a wonderful story, I adored Bobby Ray and Jess together. The story sets out with seeing these two when they were younger and even though I really liked Bobby Ray’s sister in the previous two novella’s, I really had issues with her in this one. Sissy Mae is a piece of work when it comes to Jessie Anne. In fact, she was pretty cruel. I tend to have issues with vindictive characters that have no cause to be mean and abusive just because you don’t like their “hair”. But serioiusly, Jessie Anne totally gets back at her and I cheered her every step of the way and burst out laughing when she got her payback, because Jess totally deserved getting justice for what was done to her. I loved the wild dog pack, they have Jess’s back and I love how supportive they are of each other. Some other characters I liked that I was unsure if I would, were Bobby Rae’s parents. Now they are quite unique. The father has always liked Jessie Anne. The mother is a piece of work, will do anything for her sons and tends to not favor her daughter which I found odd but Sissy is probably too much like the mother. But the mother, LOVES Jessie Anne because of her son’s feelings for her and really stands up for it when it matters. The romance between Bobby Rae and Jessie Anne is full of ups and downs, outrageous scenarios and some smexy times. Great chemistry these two have. Although I will say one thing I am liking about this series is so un realistic scenarios happen. There are so many times, that characters take actions that are so out of the norm and somewhat crazy and is wildly entertaining. So many laughs and giggles were evoked by this story. And I loved every moment. The narrator is fabulous and she really handles the southern accents for the characters remarkably well.

Wicked Fall is the first book in a new series by Sawyer Bennet. What I have come to admire about this author is the way she brings emotional depth to a highly heated romance. In Wicked Fall we have the beginning of a fun set up. The hero is a rancher, CEO over the family’s business, and has started a new club”The Wicked Horse” where sexual fantasies come to life. Callie Hayes is the daughter of the govener, but she wants to live life and explore a certain part of herself. So when she discovers “The Wicked Horse” and connect with Woolf Jennings. Woolf and Callie have a past together, and Woolf at first refuses to let Callie inside the Wicked Horse. He doesn’t want to taint her, but Callie is determined to try new things. Soon we see the raw connection these two have and they explore certain fantasies. And boy did this story get HOT enough to fog up the windows.
What is most interesting about this story was how much emotional depth was put in play, and I can tell you that from the start of the story you don’t expect that to happen. This author has talent in the way she creates such a hot romance and ends up being emotional and vividly pictured. I really adored having these two together, they have a close friendship that develops into something even more. I am curious about Woolf’s Partner, and hope he gets a book next. The only issue I had with this book was there was a scene of menage here and not my cup of tea. So if you like that sort of scenario, than you will enjoy every aspect of this story. I enjoyed this book overall and had a fun time with the sexual tension and dramatic relationship that develops.
Overall a romance that is packed with hot sex and vividly pictured emotion. An Gripping and sexy romance!
