When raven shifter Riley Porter was given sanctuary by the Phoenix Pack, she let them believe she had left her flock. Reluctant to divulge the secrets of her past, she was still embraced as family. Only Tao Lukas, the protective and passionate Head Enforcer of the pack, was resistant to the enigmatic shifter. Until Riley started to arouse in him something other than suspicion.
Tao doesn’t trust lone shifters, especially ones so guarded—and tempting. But the sexual tension between them is making them both come undone, and vulnerable to more than desire. All Tao wants is for Riley to stay with him and to trust him with the truth of her past.
As Riley’s mysteries come to light, so does a danger that threatens not only her life but the safety of the entire pack. For Tao, keeping Riley safe means keeping her close—forever—as his mate.

In Fierce Obsessions, We have Riley and Tao’s Story. Tao is the head enforcer of the Phoenix Pack, and is pretty overprotective of the pack especially when new arrivals come into it. Riley, is a raven shifter and is one of the newest additions to the pack. At first Tao doesn’t hide his mistrust of her at all. Riley hasn’t had a an easy time of it. She was forced to become a loner, without a pack but became a protector of two orphaned shifters and will do anything to keep them safe and happy, and that includes dealing with the grumpy head enforcer Tao. But then his feelings for her change, and now Tao will have to prove himself to her.

What a book this turned out to be and I loved every moment with these two and was thrilled to have the chance to review this. There is something so real about this series, I have fallen hard for this series. Its not only the romances that I fall for, but seeing the pack dynamics and the great world building that we see as this author develops this series and the connecting series The Mercury Pack. Tao is one of my favorite characters of the series, but I will admit that he can be mean and rude at times and this story we see this grumpy wolf have to work hard to get his girl and with two protective children in tow, it is not going to be easy for him, but he definitely rises up to the challenge.

“Because you’re trouble. You might look harmless enough, but I know crazy when I see it.” He tapped her nose. “You, little raven, are far from sane.” She smiled. “I think that’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.”

From the beginning of the story, we see Tao and Riley drawn into danger and the secrets of Riley’s past. And boy does this book get intense with the mystery and the action and seeing the plot develop into a wild ride of sexy lovin, drama, silly laughs and a love story that will melt your heart. Definitely a keeper in my book. Fantastic job Wright!! You keep rocking this series.

Harley Vincent is resigned to life in the human world. Sure, being a margay shifter is half her nature, but life among humans gives her the freedom to roam and do as she pleases. That is, until anti-shifter extremists target her, putting her life in immediate danger.
When an old acquaintance and onetime fling, Jesse Dalton, shows up to offer the protection of his pack, Harley hesitates. She may have feelings for Jesse that go beyond their one-night stand, but life among shifters means giving over her independence to the needs of pack. Plus Mercury Pack has its own threat to face: a rich half-shifter is determined to claim their territory at any cost.
Jesse, who lost his true mate as a child, has wanted Harley since their night together, and he’s not letting her go again. They may not be destined for each other, but he knows she belongs to him and with his pack. Even if he can convince her to join him now, can he convince her to stay?

In Force of Temptation, I was able to grab the audio book of and I am so relieved that I finally got back into the mood of audio book listening because the past few months I have felt a bit of a drag with it all. But boy this really worked for me. And of course with this talented narrator, I will fall in love. I actually have had this on my shelf for months but kept delaying it. Well I have finally decided I needed this book in my life and I am so glad that I did. It was a blast of a read and definitely got me so hooked in this world again I had to do a re read of all the other books in the series. (Yep…that is how good this author really is!!)

Now to talk about this book….so we have our main couple…Jesse and Harley. Now Jesse is part of Nick’s pack and one of his enforcers. But then he runs into Harley, who is margay shifter. And yeah these two pack a punch together. And Harley may not be a big kitty, but she is feisty and powerful and is tough as nails and what a temper. Harley is in danger. Jessie and Harley have known each other for a very long time. Harley was once best friends with Jesse’s sister who overdosed from drugs and the pack blamed her….everyone did except for Jessie. We see these two connect again, when Jessie brings her to safety. And he isn’t shy about his intentions towards her.

“I’m asking you to forsake your true mate. I’m asking you to step back into a world that let you down. I’m asking you to give me every part of you. And I’m asking you to accept every part of me-a lot of those parts are dark and broken.”

But Harley, is hesitant because she has been hurt so much in the past. Now there is one thing about this book that I just wanted to growl at…how the pack treats Harley. They treat her so horribly, and are so judgmental and yeah that irked me a bit. But what really makes you fall in love is how Harley is and how protective she is of Jessie. And these two make such a great team together, they are just like one and I loved that. There are so many cute moments that these two have together.  And even though this author makes it out that they aren’t true mates…they totally have just as strong of a bond that true mates have together. They end up balancing each other out in every way: emotionally, physically, intellectually and mentally. They way that they see to each others needs and wants is just so well drawn in this story. We see the way they work together, play together, laugh together, fight and sass and protect one another in the most endearing way (including the most cutest scene of a Margay cat riding a wolf—yeah that had me smiling for days). This author just keeps these great books coming and I can’t wait for more!!! A love story to make you laugh and make you want to cheer for these two!! SUPERB!
