Black Sheep is the first book in this duo series by this talented author. Now I will say this about this author and why I waited so long on this series, I REFUSE to pick up her books without possessing a copy of the whole series first because ladies and gents….she does and is famous for doing cliffhangers and I hate those LOL and I really read these books right after each other. But I was very curious and thrilled to pick up these books. It has been a while since I have read a mafia romance and I really loved this set up that we have here. Black Sheep is about a young woman Drew that goes to work as a server for Cannon Freeman who is the son of a mob boss. Drew’s father was killed and she suspects Casso crime family behind and her goal is to bring down the family. But as a relationship between Drew and Connon build, Drew battles with her conscience in revealing the truth to him.
This book was quite superb and boy the sexual tension between these two was right on point and what you see build between these two in this book is so poignant at times. There is much more to our hero than you think. We truly see the good man behind the mask he puts up, our heroine is strong and resilent and very easy to relate with. She is passionate and has a drive to do the right thing in finding her father’s killer. Their relationship isn’t an easy one, but the connection they have is felt through to the reader. You definitely can’t go wrong in picking this one up here.

White Knight continues right from where Black Sheep leaves off, so this is the case where you really DO not want to just pick this one without grabbing up book one because you will be completely lost I guarantee it. But what was really admirable about this story though was seeing the shift in their relationship…..truths are revealed about Drew including her real name and intentions, we meet Cannon’s family and even discover something unique about Drew and her past and all the while seeing the intimacy between these two becoming strengthened. There is so much that is packed in this book and it really comes together in all the right ways that really work for the reader. If you adore mafia romance or this author’s writing style, you definitely need to grab these up. You won’t have any regrets upon doing so!!
